“Coffee and light lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

Popped in cafe Zest in Honiton which is tucked away just off the high street on our way home after holiday.
Had a great cup of coffee and a light lunch.
Food prepared with care and attention good value for money and some interesting specials.
We had the spiced chicken wrap with homemade fries followed by local strawberries and ice cream...well it is summer and for once it's warm and sunny.
Sat outside watching the world go by before continuing our journey home....market day on a Tuesday.

“Brilliant restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013 via mobile

We arrived at Zest having cycled from Shaftesbury. Fantastic food, extremely friendly and superb value. Would go back there again and again. Murray (who ordered the burger) had a crush on the lovely young waitress. Tel:07861372646

“Very pleasant but other reviews go over the top”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

It's a cafe with very little ambience and tables that are much too close together.
My salmon with seasonal veg was ok although the veg were frozen broad beans and french beans and a bit mushy. My companions all had sandwiches that they seemed to enjoy.
So yes it's very good and the service attentive without being overwhelming.
I would advise giving little weight to reviews by locals but Zest is good and I will go again when in the area

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

Situated in Black Lion Court just of the High Street. Small Café comfortable seating gets very busy. Not open in the evenings except by prior arrangement for private functions. Food interesting and varied one of the specials on the day we visited was warm salad of English asparagus new potatoes bacon peas fresh herbs and a free range poached egg sitting on the top delicious. The Devon hand carved ham with 2 free range eggs sitting on a bubble and squeak cake served with grilled vine tomatoes was also very good. Including drinks the bill came to £17.30 for the two of us. we thought very reasonable for the quality, freshness, taste and presentation. Small outside sitting area. A wide selection of cakes, snacks and drinks on offer.
