Description: Boston Tea Party is a small family owned independent café group serving simple well-prepared food & drinks made with great ingredients, skill and love. Ethically sourced, affordable, feel-good & excellent quality - made from scratch onsite everyday by people who care about what they do. We like to think of BTP Honiton as our elegant English tearoom with the added buzz of an urban café – very much in keeping with the town itself & the lovely locals.

“Nice little pit-stop!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013 via mobile

I really enjoyed my sit down and 15 minutes of peace here.
No loud music, or loud conversations just a nice simple relaxing atmosphere.

Had to wait a while to be served and prices are a little high - £6.25 for soup and tea.

Lovely food though, served piping hot. Nice unusual flavours and filled a hole.

I would recommend!

“Wonderful coffee and cakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

I lived in Honiton for 2 years and made many visits to Boston's during that time. The coffee/tea was always consistently good and the cake selection fantastic. The breakfasts are great and there's nothing nicer than popping in for breakfast on a summer's morning and eating in the beautiful garden. I now live in Exeter and do visit BTP Exeter from time to time, but it just doesn't have the same charm and the friendliness of the staff and quality of the coffee do not compare.

If you're in Honiton, definitely visit, you will not regret it! (have the caramel shortbread)

Dear Carol,

Thank you so much indeed for your kind words, it's so lovely when somebody takes time to complement us on our food and drink. I really hope we have a summer this year to make use of the garden and hopefully you can make it back here one day and visit us again,

Kind Regards,

James Arnold

“The Boston Tea Party.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We like sitting in the front room overlooking the main High Street especially if you can get a comfy chair or settee. Cakes are delicious. Rear garden a plus when it is sunny! The back room is a little noisy and dark.

Thank you for your kind words, there is nothing better than watching the world go by with a slice of cake by your side. The back room can get a little noisy with the influx of prams and the close proximety to the kitchen, perhaps the more spacious and quieter blue room would be a better place to enjoy the experience on your next visit.

Kind Regards,

James Arnold

“Really Ought To Be Better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Not sure if its the Staff, or Management, but something missing here. Not the most relaxing place to visit. Too noisy to really have a conversation. Sat at a Table which was over loaded with previous Customers Cups/Saucers, Plates ,etc. Finally cleared with much rattling and noise. Maybe it was bad timing on our part, but to chaotic to enjoy.

“good range of hot drinks and varied food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

We enjoyed excellent coffee here and a very good cooked breakfast. They serve a wide selection of food and have an excellent drinks range. After several visits here we have not been disappointed. There is a nice outdoor area at the rear fo the premises. We find the staff friendly and efficient.
