After reading the many many great reviews on here we decided to book in for a meal whilst visiting Padstow at Easter. It's obviously very popular as I had to do this well in advance so it's got it's fans of that there is no doubt!
It's a very small place with only about 8 tables, the staff are very friendly throughout the meal so that is to be commended. I feel that some background music wouldn't go a miss here, as it's so small it definitely lacks atmosphere and the lack of any sort music only highlights this.
The food itself was good but like the title says it's a little pricey for what you get. Paying £8+ for risotto is a bit of a stretch. The rump steak I had was very tender and lovely however my other half had the monkfish which was little more than 4 fish goujons and she felt like she missed out on a good meal.
Overall it was a decent meal but we wouldn't be going back as it doesn't live up to the price tag which is a shame.
