we were just passing by on a wander around padstow and saw this restaurant on an unexsplored back street. they were advertising a two course meal for 16 pounds ,then we saw it was a rick steins restaurant so we thought we would give it a try. to our amazement the food was fabulous .the fish truely was a work of art for the eyes a symphony for the nose and a perfect thrill for the taste buds.the staff were very friendly and helpfull. no problem with a gluten and dairyfree diet. o the first course we both had the same starter.my husbands was as the menu stated ,served on toasted bread.no good for me ,so mine was braised kidneys without the bread.but my portion was a little larger than his, woopeeeeeeee. normally they just miss off what Icant eat and I end up paying the same as everyone else for less food . not so here well done guys ,impressed.the main meal I had cod,to die for.I didnt think my husbands pork dish would be anywhere near as good.Whn I tried a taste of it ,it was equally as good, and we ended up sharing each others dishes. This is on place not to be missed.........
