“Friendly and relaxed stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2010

We had an excellent stay at Arum and were well looked after by Emma who is a friendly and welcoming host. The room is large and comfortable and well equipped and looks much better up close than in photos! The bathroom is clean and spacious and has an amazing shower. We had use of the outside patio but unfortunately the weather was not really up to using it. Breakfast was excellent and set us up nicely for our days by the beach or cycling around the area.

The B&B is located up the hill a short walk from the centre of Padstow, and is very easy to locate. It is off the main road but there is no noise at night and we had a very cosy and relaxing stay here - it was very difficult to mobilise the day after we arrived as the bed was huge and too comfortable for two tired cyclists! If we are back in Padstow we will definitely stay again.

i have stayed with Emma twice now and both times have been a very good experience.
Emma is a very proffessional host who will go out of her way to make your stay as comfortable as poss.
Anyone who would like a home from home stay should definatley contact Emma,i would def reccommend this B&B to family and friends.
The room is very comfortble and spacious, with a en-suit bathroom {the shower is amazing!}...
I will be staying with Emma again, many thanx go out to Emma an her family .

Arum House was easy to find, being opposite the school and across the road from Tesco as you come into the town. It is not in the old town, but it is not far to walk, although coming back it is up-hill! Emma, who runs it, only rents out one room, and it is a very nice large room - comfortable, clean and with what is obviously a new, and state of the art, shower room. Emma told us she is a vetinary nurse by training, and she is happy to accept pets. This isn't the most professionally run B&B I have stayed in, but Emma was so friendly and so willing to do whatever she could to make our stay comfortable that we have no hesitation in recommending it.

  • Liked — The size of the room
  • Disliked — The walk back up hill after dinner
