“Nice pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

Nice pub in the centre of the town!
We stopped in wadebridge the day before after recommendations of the barnecutt pasty which was amazing! We liked the look of the molesworth menu so went back for dinner! Very tasty burgers- staff friendly. :-)

Great position right in the centre of Wadebridge in a pedestrianised area. Lovely old pub with real ales and good grub downstairs. Parking is tucked away around the back of the hotel slightly tricky to find! They do a really good breakfast, the full English is enormous.

Room Tip: It's a very popular local pub as well as a hotel so it may be a bit noisy particularly in the su...

My boyfriend and I booked a last minute night away at the Molesworth Arms via late rooms.
When we turned up, the place looked nothing like the photographs we'd seen online - instead we were greeted by a dark and dingy noisy old pub which was next to some retirement flats in the centre of town. The "parking" was an absolutely joke - there were no spaces for hotel guests at all and upon arrival we had to wait in our car for over 20 minutes before there was any room. When we did manage to park, we found a "space" next to some rubbish skips and old beer kegs and, due to the shortage of parking, our car was then blocked in by other customers. When we eventually checked in, we were given our key, shown to our room and then told that there would be live music in the bar area until 12pm that evening. At no point were we told about this weekly entertainment prior to our booking. The music itself started around dinner time that night and it was so loud that the furniture in our room was vibrating. We really wanted to get an early night and we breathed a huge sigh of relief at 12pm when the Music was eventually turned off. Sadly we then had the pleasure of over two hours of drunken shouting and hollering from customers who were below our window. All in all we had about one hour sleep in total and felt lousy the next morning. The room itself was incredibly small and overlooking the Main Street. It was nowhere near the size of the 'standard double' that had been advertised on the internet. Right next to our window was the pub sign that was squeaking constantly through the night as it was being blown by the wind. This is not somewhere to go if you want a rest. This place is the sole reason I joined trip advisor!!

Stayed for two nights here.
Arrived and band was playing downstairs in the pub - really great atmosphere with everyone dancing and singing ... So we joined in :)
Bedroom clean and comfortable and the breakfast was gorgeous
- paid £50 per night including breakfast - totally worth every penny and more
Would come back and stay again without hesitation

Staying in Wadebrigde this place is perfectly placed. I was told that there was a car park but never found it as I parked on the road with no difficulty. The breakfast was lovely and definitely hit the spot when I woke up.

The room was clean and very comfy, all facilities were great and the bath was nice to have.

The only real problem we had was as it was a Saturday night there was loud music from downstairs. We had been out for a meal and wanted to sleep making the music a slight problem but not one that would put me off staying again.

Well worth the stay.

Stayed for 4 nights and we were not disappointed. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, albeit a bit creaky but then thats what was to be expected for a 16th century coach inn. The staff were very hospitable, especially Rachael. Very friendly town to be in and had a real treat with John Thorpe (didgeridoo) playing. I would definately return, hopefully in the near future.
