“Perfect place to stay for peace and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

What a lovely place... Greeted by Lorraine, she showed us to our room, what a fantastic room it was, very clean and wonderful decor. She made us tea and biscuits which we had in the lounge with a lovely view over to Rock !! Very nice. Higher Trevorrick is a good base to stay for walking or cycling into Padstow, we drove to port Isaac and boscastle both not too far away. We had a very peaceful few days in this wonderful house and were well looked after. Breakfasts were lovely and plenty to choose from. We would certainly recommend for a nice peaceful break.

the perfect stay. from the moment we arrived and were greeeted by lorraine with welcome cup of tea and biscuits, everything was top class. the rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated and the ensuite was spotless and full of shampoos , shower gel etc. our room on the first floor had a wonderful view across open fields to the estuary and the golden sands of rock.(nice to wake up to). breakfast was exellent, better than some of the 5 star hotels we have stayed, with a vast selection of hot food, fruit, cheese and ham and fresh bread. we opted for the full cornish which was superb, but apparently the porridge with clotted cream was something to be marvelled at.
all in all , a lovely relaxing stay in th country, but only 10 minutes from padstow.our host lorraine has provided a very high quality accomodation and i'm sure that anyone who stays will be more than satisfied.

ps the food at the pickwick inn (2 minutes down the road) is some of the best inn food we have tasted, try the seafood pancakes and the steak pie, absolutely delicious

Recently stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are conformable and everything appears new. The photos on the web site are a good representation. The garden is huge and it would have been nice to have sat outside. It is an easy walk into Padstow and there are footpaths nearby.
Breakfast was OK, the smoked haddock a little bland.
My comment about the price is due to my being a solo traveller. The booking was made by a friend, but I looked in the web site and there is no mention of a single occupancy supplement. I guess that I should have expected one, but the rate was excessive in my opinion. I have only recently become a solo traveller, so I will ask in future before I book!
The hosts are pleasant and the dog absolutely mental!

We booked through expedia after looking at the reviews both on expedia and TRIP ADVISER, we were not disappointed. The Country House was an excellent location for our walking and cycling week end located between Padstow and Wadebridge, our room was en suite large with all the little extras that you would find in a high standard high star hotel, mini bar with a vast range of soft drinks, beers and spirits wine ect. The Bed was super king size and extreemly comfortable, the towels were really high quality, decor excellent. The breakfast was a full menu from full cornish breakfast to a range of fresh friut cereals, cooked fish etc. Large car park and hugh well maintained fenced in garden ideal for children to play and to have breakfast or an afternoon cup of tea on the comfortable garden furniture. We were greeted on our arrival by lorraine who was a mavelous host. We would recommend this as great value for the money.

Room Tip: Ground floor en suite has views over the Camel Estuary and Book early for good evening meals at Pick...

Excellent accommodation, tea and cake on arrival and shown around a very big ensuite room. Lovely room with excellent facilities including the mini bar and even a tray for shoes. Huge bathroom full of toiletries and a great double shower. The breakfast was first class, freshly baked bread and a great selection of cooked food. The location was great, nice and quiet but easy reach of the camel way and a great walk into Padstow. The whole house was immaculately clean and well furnished, the views from the upstairs lounge were lovely. Great pub just down the road as well serving very good food in the resturant.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great

What a place!!!!!!!!!!! lovely surroundings, fabulous place to stay, lovely host's, we only stayed the one night wish we could have stayed longer! I booked the suite, as it was for my husband's 70th, which had beautiful view's everything was perfect, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble, as soon as we got their Lorriane asked if we would like tea or coffee and bought it up to the very large communal sitting room with cake what tasted like home made, bed was huge and very comfortable, it felt like home from home. Big bowl of fruit and big box of chocs in our private sitting room for us but as we were there for only one night we had eaten at lunchtime and were going out for a meal in the evening so didn't have any room for choc's shame they looked lovely.

Room Tip: try the suite well worth it and has lovely views out to camel trail and the sea.

We stayed here for two nights earlier this year and it really is first class. The owners have a history of hotel management and it shows, The rooms are bright, modern and spacious with all facilities on hand. The bathrooms are also large, modern and well equipped with toiletries. The upstairs lounge has a lovely views over the estuary and the dining room is bright and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the service was very good. Mr & Mrs Goldsworthy are very welcoming and professional. The house is in well tended grounds and a nice quiet position. There is an enjoyable walk into Padstow along the cycle route and after the crush of people in the town it was always a pleasure to return to the peace of Trevorrick House.

Room Tip: the upstairs rooms have the best views
