“Clean and tidy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Not a beach for sunbathing more for boys who love rock pools. Saying that there is some sandy areas which are nice.

“A little piece of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

One of the most inspiring and peacful places to visit, although it is believed the North Berwick witches held their coven there. It is also believed there is a secret tunnel leading from the Bass Rock to cave near by, which early smugglers used. This of course is all fiction ( probably), but growing up in this magical place & working at Tantallon Studios, just short walk away, lets me continue to surf on tracker tyre inner tubes, on wild freezing seas...

“Beautiful and peaceful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

Worth the £2 payment. So quiet and relaxing. A real hidden gem of a place. Lovely clean sand and amazing rockpools and plenty of sheltered nooks.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I like to go occasionally as a wee treat. I don't mind paying to £2.00 to walk on such a beautiful beach. You often see surfers out on the waves. The beach is very clean and often quiet which is even better.

“Oh what a find !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

At first thought we had missed the turning. Private twisty road leads to this unspoiled gem. When we were there it was totally deserted on a beautiful crisp March morning with only the wildlife and the sound of the waves for company. Across the rocks was a tiny little harbour, apparently the smallest in Britain. There were spectacular views of Tantallon Castle, imposing and grand on the skyline. Also wonderful views of the Bass Rock. Debated about writing about this place as my selfish soul wanted to keep it undiscovered !
