“Fabulous!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

We had no idea as to what to expect, on arrival, as our daughter had booked 2 days for us as a treat. It turned out to be everything we hoped for and more!!!!
Where do I start??? The house (we had the red room) is absolutely beautiful. Hidden away but almost on the sea front.Situated perfectly for everything. The garden is wonderful. The breakfasts are to die for!! My diet went right out the window!!!!!
In an ideal world Id like to move in there permanantly, and just let my self be spoilt by the hosts.
what can I say about them to do them justice??
A lovely couple who do an amazing job of looking after you. Nothing is too much trouble.
I hope to spend more time there again soon

As the other reviews say, it's hard to imagine how there could be a better choice of accomodation in Wells. The house is in a great location close to the quay but secluded enough to be very tranquil. The level of service, interior decor and breakfast all showed excellent attention to detail which is explained when you discover the hosts' previous career in looking after people. Bed was also extremely comfortable.
We would highly recommend a stay in the Wells area for a short break and St Michael's House is the perfect base.

A lovely, central B & B run by an extremely friendly couple. Exceptional comfort and a fantastic breakfast made for a really enjoyable stay though the price might have been just a penny or two high.

We stayed here from the 13th - 15th May. It's in a great location and the hosts provide a really warm welcome. Wells is a charming town and we would definitely recommend both the B & B and the town itself. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the breakfast was excellent.

Room Tip: We stayed in the red room which was lovely.

If you are looking for a fantastic place to stay on the North Norfolk coast then look no further. The house is gorgeous and you are made to feel welcome the moment you step through the door. The room was spacious and very comfortable with fantastic facilities in the bathroom. The breakfast was both generous and delicious. The hosts are so thoughtful- even lending us their binoculars for our trip to see the seals! It really was just the perfect place to stay.

We've just returned from a stay at St Michaels and I can't really say anything other than to echo what's already been said. From the moment you arrive till you're ready to leave you really feel at home here. It's not anything in particular (although the Sunday kippers are delicious) it's all the little things and the friendly way you're treated. We happened to leave a bottle of wine laying about the room, on our return it was sat on a tray with a pair of glasses waiting for it. You can certainly tell Alan and Mary have spent a lifetime looking after people.

Perfect location, excellent hosts, delightful rooms, completely recommended.
