We visited the Black Swan after reading the good reviews on trip advisor.
We sat in the bar which was very quiet. The menu had a range of food including a children's menu which provides low salt, low sugar food for kids which is a fan touch. It also has a large pizza and pancake menu.
We had bread with an olive oil/balsamic vinegar dip for a starter. This was a little disappointing at £3.50 as it was basically a bit of lightly toasted white bread with a dip.
The pizzas were reasonable at £6.95 - £7.95 for a 9" pizza. They tasted ok but not amazing.
Service was friendly and the place generally clean and the decor ok. The pub building itself is quite charming and is set in a lovely village. They have a beer garden too for sunny days. It was a shame they didn't have a disabled loo or baby changing area.
In general the pub was ok and perhaps if I was in the village again I might visit but I have to be honest I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again.
