On entering Blakeney House first thing that hits you is the car parking facilities .They are second to none .So if you are cautious where you park your Bentley or Ferrari ,this is place for you .Best car park i`ve come across .
Next thing if you walk round to front door you`ll notice windows could do with a lick of paint and some woodwork renewal .Carpet on assending stairs is getting worn on edges too .This is being picky though and should not detract from your stay in any way .
When you arrive you also might not meet the owner as he tends to go out and will leave you the room key and registration form .This you may find a bit strange .
Room we stayed was nice and airy and bathroom is tip top .Bed we found was a tad sqeaky but very comfortable neverless .A point another reviewer raises is correct abot shower gel etc .Bit mean with that and also the sachet of hot chocolate was never replaced after first night .I found that pretty mean as after all it`s not a cheap place. It might be fault of room service but owners need to address this I feel . .Another thing that you don`t get is a resident`s lounge but personally it didn`t bother us .
Yes breakfast room is a bit tight .My advice is get yourself up and you won`t be stuck in the corner as one reviwer has said .I had no bother with that .What you do get for breakfast is decent quality produce ,I found bacon ,black pudding ,sausage and egg to be of top quality .
So all in all a very nice place to stay if a tad pricey .I would certainly go back .
Not easy to find .It`s sharp turn left after road down to Quay . Rooms overlooking garden are best...

Thank you for posting a review on "Blakeney House".We are aware that certain areas need addressing as far as maintenance is concerned. The exterior of the house has taken a fair amount of punishment these past few months as too has the stair carpet, the weather hasn't helped. We plan to attend to these during the coming quieter months. As for the lack of hot chocolate and shower gel, at the busiest time of the year these sort of things can get overlooked and it is a shame that people do not request replacements when they are here,it's not a problem.

Personally I feel that a resident's lounge would be a waste of space as each room has it's own seating area with T.V.coffee,tea and biscuits etc.and if couples do want to meet up for a pre-dinner drink 4 of the rooms are large enough to do this.
