“Quite expensive but lovely hotel and great food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2012 via mobile

Lovely views across blakeney sea marshes on the Norfolk coast. It a big hotel with a formal feel. Lots of lovely comfortable lounges to relax in as well as good leisure facilities such as pool, mini-gym, table tennis, snooker room. Great food and my room was nice.

This hotel offer's first class service from the moment you walk in.

The car park is very large so need to book a place.

The restaurant offers a fantastic choice with local food and fish a speciality, all cooked to perfection, individual tastes catered for.

If your in the area it is more than worth a diversion to visit, the hotel overlooks the quay and has great views in all seasons.

Happy reviewer Chris B-R

Room Tip: If you would like a sea view then book early when the seasons starts.

My wife and U have just spent Friday to Sunday at The Blakeney Hotel.
We needed a break after the Christmas / New Year rush.
Decided to go for an A Plus Room with Balcony. Had Room No 50.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were made to feel so welcome.
Nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff that we came into contact with.
The room was exceptional. Clean and comfortable. Bath Robes and Towels so soft.
Breakfast and Evening Dinner 5 Star. I Recommend the Blakeney Fish Soup.
This is a MUST stay place at least once in a lifetime just to experience it. Its not cheap
but it was worth every penny.

1 Comment if you are going to stay there. Gentlemen. Please take a shirt and tie or at least a shirt for evening meal.
I could not believe what some men had on.

Room Tip: Pay as much as you can afford. It will be worth it.

A weekend away from work and 'business class' hotels. The Blakeney Hotel was a real treat in its very English way, with a cosy family atmosphere, plenty of space in the public areas with open fires and lots of soft furnishings. Our room was large with a balcony and view of the creek and saltmarsh. The pool and sauna area was fine for swimming and relaxing before dinner. The cooking and service were excellent and good value, especially enjoyed the Colchester oysters. Some areas looked a bit tired and were being re-decorated during our stay but that was no inconvenience. Reception even loaned us an electrical adaptor on Sunday morning. Highly recommended. I'll go again.

Room Tip: The top-price rooms at the front have a great view

A fabulous relaxing stay. It's not often you stumble across a charming hotel by chance. The whole atmosphere is delightful, the staff helpful and friendly and food very tasty. The pool and gym area is small but perfectly adequate, the open fires very welcome and our estuary view room picturesque. We enjoyed it greatly.

This hotel certainly has the Wow factor and is an ideal place to visit if you are looking to give yourself and your loved one a real treat. It is ideally situated for some good walks along the North Norfolk coastal path. The hotel is certainly not cheap but the facilities and service are first class. We stayed in a B rated room which was spotlessly clean, a very good size, 6' bed and certainly met all our requirements. There is a large car park but some parking spaces can be a little tight. The lovely swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were very welcome after a day's walking. The restaurant food and service from all the staff were excellent. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel especially for a special occasion and particularly if you enjoy long country walks.

This hotel is not particularly cheap but the service from start ( booking ) to finish was excellent. Friendly and very helpful staff throughout our stay Our party comprised 12 people , ages ranging from 4 to 72 ! My family were all there to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday and we were all made to feel most welcome. The family rooms were spacious and the other facilities, including an excellent modern swimming pool , spa, sauna etc were splendid . Age profile tended towards the elderly ( ! ) but perhaps that was because of the time of year . Would thoroughly recommend
