“View of the ravine & sea; garlic chicken”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Keep driving up the hill, heading slightly to the left with one right to take you up the final bit--you can't miss the large sign. Free parking.
Get your own chicken was our motto but you only need one order of potatoes.
Orange sauce is delicious.
This is right next to the entrance to Hell's Ravins (Barranco del Infierno). Like all the other reviews, even though the hike is technically closed we saw a stream of people climbing through the barricade in both directions.
There is a sister restaurant on the beach in Costa Adeje (Fanabe beach) called Otelo II.
Caution: the website linked to a restaurant in Sao Paolo not the correct restaurant.

“make sure you get the right Otelo !!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

We went last night to Otelo II, this is the sister outlet to the Otelo that everyone raves about, Otelo 1 is at the top of Adeje (highly recommended) and Otelo II is on the sea front in the Torviscas/Adeje area.

Otelo II has a wide ranging menu that perhaps you would expect in the area there are located, ie amounst other food outlets.

Service was excellant and praise where it is due this aspect was the best part of the evening. Sadly the food was not as exciting nor memorable, we has the usual offering ie salad, garlic chicken and a mixture of chips and garlic potatoes.

The fresh bread, 'dips' and salad was fresh and enjoyable. Sadly the main event ie garlic chicken, like other servings we saw, was overcooked, chewy and lacking in garlic !

We had great expectations and origionally had planned to go to Otelo 1 and would have had it not been for the road closures around Adeje due to their festive season starting.

Will try other places before coming back here, pity really service and the welcome was first class.

“Great value/ Great food/ Great view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

Went here on a recommendation in Sept 2012 & loved it.
Very basic Restaurant which serves mainly Canarian fried garlic chicken with sides of fries/ canarian potatoes - no need to ask for a menu, just ask for chicken with whatever side dish you want!
We had a half carafe of House wine as well which was fine.
We had not seen menu/ wine list so when we got our bill we were shocked it was only €23 for 2 inc wine - great value.
The view from here along coast is amazing as are the views of the mountains to the side.
Our only disappointment was the 2nd time we went here - the outside section was closed due to high winds.

“Top Class canarian dining which won't break the bank and the view is impressive too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

As a resident this is a great place if you want a good feed away from the pretenntiousness of the tourist traps and the food is fabulous. The bread is always fresh and the sauces are delicious. We always have a great meal here, plenty of perfectly cooked chicken and rabbit. Great canarian potatoes, piping hot and salty. So tasty, its the best place to get canarian food. It quite popular with locals and holidaymakers so don't expect it to be quiet or sophisticated, I've given up wearing a posh frock as I get the scrummy sauces down my front half of the time. The sangria is cold and refreshing, a perfect accompanyment. There's parking here but you have to walk up a very steep hill after parking up so people in a wheelchair or not so mobile may struggle. It's good fun walkng down in heels if your a bit tipsy! The staff are mainly Spanish and competant, it gets busy with all ages, from couples to big family groups. There's a few mangey cats walking around, I don't know why they are so boney as everyone feeds them, they are accustomed to people so you can stroke them, but don't let your children pick them up, they don't like it! I love it here, there is one in Fanabe right on the beach but I much prefer the view here and the service is slightly quicker.
