We were on a family vacation a group of 6 adults and 2 children, and here is my observation about the hotel:

Hotel & Rooms:
The hotel was below average for us, rooms from inside was fine with modern, simple and comfortable design, however, rooms view was awful, part of the rooms are overlooking to a local bazar with a lot of noise, some other rooms have the hotel's air-conditions view and the others have a view to the hotel's walking path that makes it so hard to open the window or curtains because it does not allow for any privacy.

As per the hotel team "There is limited amount of rooms with good view, but they are offered to long staying guests" so if you are looking for a one or couple of weeks relaxing stay this is the correct address that you need to aim for.

- Internet is NOT really free, you get 500 mb only on check-in and then you need to pay for a full access, it's also NOT available in all rooms, so if you are far away from the reception you don't have coverage

- Good location: Hotel located 15 min walking away from beach.

- There was no entertainment activities during the day.
Reception Team: I had few points that gave me the "lack of professionalism" feeling as well as they were not so nice to the guests - the points are:

1) Honesty issue: One of our rooms was extremely bad, so when we asked to change it the answer was the hotel is running a full occupancy for the next 5 days and won't be able to change it, however, when we contacted our tour operator on the next day they agreed to change it immediately, so in reality they had several options.

2) During the room changing process we've been escorted with a team member to see and select one room out of two that they are going to show, we decide on one and went back to reception to confirm our option, but unfortunately they refused to give it to us, they said it was occupied (but we didn't see in luggage inside it), so the question why you've shown they room if it was occupied? So we accepted the other one but it was also occupied (as per them - again we didn't see any luggage in the room) - So we offered another two rooms and we finally made it here.

3) I asked a receptionist about the meals and snacks times since it was an "all inclusive" hotel, I got the following:

You can get meal during these times only
Breakfast: 07 - 10
Lunch: 12 - 14:30
Dinner: 18 - 21
Out of these times there is not food served
I was surprised, as in all inclusive hotels guests can get food any time during the day.
And when I tried to say this is not all inclusive, this is Full Board meal plan, I got an answer "Check with your Tour Operator, this is what we have" in a rude way.

4) One day I forgot my key in the room, so I went to reception to get a new one, so when I said that I forgot my key in the room I've got a "DO NOT DO IT AGAIN" look. At the same time I had a security issue here as I was only asked to give the room number and my name to get access to my room, noting the during the day we always see the house keeping trolleys with a full rooming lists that shows room numbers and names, so it is so easy to access any room you want in the hotel.

5) I called the reception to asked how I can call the other room, the answer that I got is "I don't know, try 6 before the room number and if I didn’t work call us again" didn’t bother to check for me and give me a call back with an accurate answer

Overall guests doesn't feel welcomed and the staff helping only because they have to.

House Keeping Team: Was nice and polite

Restaurant team: Few of them are nice, but most of them weren’t really polite to guests as I had these points:

1) Live cooking chefs feel bad when you ask for special preference (for example well-done meet).

2)You don't feel welcomed if you came one hour before the closing time, as we've been told several times that it is too late to come for dinner, as we came at 8 pm and they close at 9 pm.

Restaurant Experience:
- The most annoying thing in restaurant is the ventilation system is too bad, as we smell food every time we have meal there and the outside tables are so limited, so they are booked most of the time.

- Wrong descriptions: we faced wrong meal descriptions several times,
Vegetarian Lasagna was cooked with meet (beef & pork mixed).
Nugget Chicken: Was fish

-Shrimp dish: Is placed once and not refreshed when it is over

- Juices are not available on Lunch or dinners, soda options only.

- Lack of fresh vegetables in all meals, especially during the breakfast.

In general we didn't have good and nice experience at the hotel, we are not willing to repeated and definitely not recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: Always ask for a 2nd floor rooms, they are much better than the first floor.

I booked two one bedroomed apartments through booking.com several months before the booked dates. I gave valid credit card details to secure the reservations. About two weeks before travel the hotel contacted me via booking.com to say that they needed new credit card details. I knew the card was valid and asked the hotel to try again but they simply cancelled my reservation. I called both booking.com and the hotel and asked for the reservation to be reinstated but they refused. I have since established that they did not even try to take payment. I assume they had overbooked or had customers willing to pay more than the price they had agreed with me through booking.com. This left us with a limited choice of expensive accommodation only two weeks before I was due to travel with my family. Unacceptable!

Recently stayed a week in this very nice hotel. Everything was to our satisfaction and I am so impressed by the kindness of all the staff.

Nice, large apartment with a perfekt terrace to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.

A short Walk to the beach, and also a short distance to a local shopping center. Perfekt location for a relaxing holiday. We reallly recommend this hotel.

The restaurant served a large selecton of delicious meals.

Special thanks to Ms Patricia Brenner for making our stay so enjoyable. We will certainly come back!

We had a number of issues with customer service at these apartments.

1. I was phoned 24 hrs before our outward flight by Alpharooms.

The apartments were full and instead of a one bed apartment we were being sent to a hotel, room only.

We strongly complained and turned down their offer.

After several hours we were told that we could have the original apartment.

2. On arrival we were given a two bed apartment. We were told it was on the first floor and pool facing. Instead it was a basement apartment facing a brick wall topped with barbed wire.

3. On the second night there was very heavy rain.

Our door had a large gap at the bottom and the apartment was at the bottom of a slope.

At 5:00am the apartment was flooded with 4-5 inches of dirty water.

The safe was on the floor and this filled with water soaking passports, travel documents and money. We found it in time and dried everything out but
it could have been disastrous.

We used bedlinen & towels to put under the door but the water kept pouring in.

Reception could not help. We asked to be moved (at least one other family was ) but they could not help.

We even asked for sand bags but they had none.

Late morning the cleaners mopped up but the apartment started to smell damp later in the week.

4. We did salvage something of the day but when we returned to our apartment late afternoon we received a call from reception.

We were bluntly told that we had not paid for a two bed apartment and a new customer needed one so we were told we were being moved to a one bed apartment the next day.

We argued that we had had enough disruption but were ordered to reception to discuss.

We went and was first told we had to move. We declined and was then offered breakfast and then half board.

The receptionist and manager were both blunt, aggressive and rude.

Eventually they simply said OK you can stay in your apartment. No apology.

Finally I must say these apartments are lovely. The staff just need a course in customer service.

Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids aged 6 and 9 in October 2014. Initially given a non refurbished room, but after complaining back at reception, was changed to a far superior refurbished one - well worth getting a modern room! Complex has 3 pools, although in my opinion far too strict around the pool, kids aren't even allowed a ball, lilo or to even jump in unless it's the "baby" pool that's only 1m deep, having said that, there's always a sunbed available no matter what time if day you opt to go to the pool, so none of the usual madness of reserving sun beds. Complex is kept well, staff friendly and breakfast fine - we were B&B. Location is only a leisurely 10 minutes stroll to the beach, directly facing the Jacaranda hotel on the roundabout if your familiar with the resort. I would return again, but some of the prices on Booking.com are way overpriced (I paid £420 for 7 nights), so only if it was similarly priced. Complex offers all board levels including all inclusive, however no entertainment whatsoever, so wouldn't fancy sitting looking at a pool in darkness every night, plus bar closes promptly at 11pm. All in all, I had a good value stay at a nice modernised room in a great location in the resort, although too quiet and strict for young children, so 4 out of 5 for me.

Room Tip: Demand a modernised room.

The rooms were very spacious and the staff were so friendly and happy to see to everything we needed. The receptionists were very polite and helped with anything we needed. The rooms were cleaned regularly and when we wanted more pillows they sent them the next day. brilliant place to go. The only thing was there wasnt much for teenagers to do. Maybe a pool room/games room would be a suggestion to keep them occupied in the everning.xxxxxxxxxx

Our family (two adults and two children 12 and 16 years old) stayed at the Villas Fanabe in the period from June 30 to July 14, 2014, in the apartment number 159. One bedroom apartments (bedroom and living room with kitchenette), located next to the hotel reception, so free Wi fi was caught quite well. At first I was confused proximity bar, but his visitors were very quiet even during the World Cup. Much more noise penetrated into the bedroom window looked out onto the street, so we never opened because our room had air conditioning. Not all are equipped with air-conditioned rooms, it was the presence of one of the essential conditions for us and hotel managers tried to fulfill our wishes to the extent possible. I would particularly like to thank Patricia Brenner, who helped me to solve all questions during the booking at the hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located near to the beach of Fanabe, shops and bus stop (making deliveries in Siam Water Park, Jungle Park and regular buses Titsa).
The apartment itself was quite large and comfortable for our family enough for all dishes (we sometimes cooked dinner since taking half board). From our terraces almost immediately opened access to the pool. The pools are clean, are cascaded, there is quite a small area for children. Sunbeds at the pool lacked everything. Food is decent, somewhat monotonous breakfasts, dinners more interesting (always attended by several kinds of meat and fish), I especially liked the desserts in the form of a mousse. In general, the hotel is very quiet, calm, is a complex of two-storey villas on a small but well-kept grounds with tropical flowers. Animation for children missing.
Among the shortcomings:
- Bathroom door latch is missing, that is not very comfortable with older children.
- Ventilation in the bathroom is too noisy;
- Room cleaning was performed in the afternoon, when we went to the beach and the rest, would love to have the room cleaned in the morning.
Overall, we are satisfied with their stay and would recommend the hotel to our friends.
