Well what can I say? after visiting this hotel in Playa Paraiso 10 times we decided to book direct with the hotel. The food is excellent if you have the inteligence to put a meal together (some people who say the food is rubbish here must live in macdonalds) the rooms are cleaned everyday and an upgrade to a red wrist band gets you all you can eat and drink from 10am to 12pm. This time we had a problem, the hotel has signed a contract with the government to allow Spanish OAPs a discount holiday here, 1100 OAPs every week for the next 2 years! we were told we had to go the Floral next door and were given gold VIP wristbands so we could use the facilities of both hotels. The evening entertainment had changed to spanish oap dancing, if you stand up they steal you seat, if you dont they ask you for your seat. The pool area has loads of loungers but if you stand up the OAPs steal your loungers. Thompsons are pulling out at the end of November and English are no longer allowed to book, but dont try you will not like the rude guests who have stolen my favourite hotel in tenerife!

My sister and I visited in October 2008, we arrived at the hotel around 3.00pm and went in search of the beach and bars. The beach was a very small cove with no sun beds, there were only a couple of bars.

We went for evening meal and the only way I can describe what it was like in the restaurant was bees round a honey pot you could not see what food was available.

It is packed with 60 - 80 year old mainly spanish people all fighting to get to the food, we could not find a table so went without dinner that evening.

The next morning we went for breakfast we had to sit seperately I managed to get some scrambled egg which was disgusting our breakfast consisted of 2 cups of coffee.

It was so bad that we moved to another hotel and this cost us and extra 488 euros.

Booked this holiday late on with warnings from the agent that "it is really quiet, you might not like it". If you do, then go - this hotel is great. Playa Paraiso is 5 hotels and 10 shops, and a bus back and forth to life as we know it - so what's the problem ?.

Lazing by the pool is great, the staff are brilliant - very attentive and a good laugh. Food choice was excellent despite what others said; " the mash is horrible, I can't eat it..." so go home and get some proper mash leaving evetyone else to enjoy themselves !. Seriously, if everyone can't find something to eat in this place, then they ought to be drip fed.

Rooms were clean, as was everywhere ( until the smokers leave their dirty disposable ash trays everywhere - despite there being dozens of bins around ). Pool can be cramped, but find a quite spot upstairs on the higher level or wait until late afternoon when they all go elsewhere.

We went all inclusive and I now have to work at losing the extra weight - if you accept that the place is quite, then this is certainly worthwhile. We still went around on the local buses and missed a couple of lunches, but so what ?.

Can't fault the place - great holiday, great staff, good food and loads of sun.

Well where do i start. Myself my mum and my best mate went here. Firstly the hotel its self is beautiful the rooms are clean and the maids were fantastic. They cleaned the room spotless and left fresh flowers every day. The pool was beautiful and there was no morning rush for the sunbeds as there were plenty. Food was great for all inclusive .. great range from normal uk food to french and itallian. The entertainers were awesome and made us feel really welcome. Bar staff also really friendly from the minute they met you. Not too many fellow scots there mostly english and german but a great laugh. Las americas not too far away only 8euros in a taxi at night and 2 euros for the local bus.
All in all a wonderful holiday and would go back in a heartbeat !
