We stayed at the hotel Isabel for 2 weeks, and overall had a lovely holiday. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which was huge and very clean. We also had a jacuzzi in a private garden area, which was fab! The pool was a nice size and again kept clean. We found that the sunbeds were closely packed in, and it was difficult to find one without a towel on after 10:30. We would head down to the pool later in the afternoon when it was cooler and quieter. Wifi was available in reception if you need to stay in touch. My 8 year old tried the kids club a few times, but didn't find it very friendly. For some of the sessions he was the only non german speaking child, and they called him the "English boy" rather than his name, and he felt excluded. We have stayed in multinational hotels in the past, and they have always made an effort to involve all nationalities, so this was disappointing. There was a play area near the kids club with a climbing frame, zip wire, basket ball court and climbing wall, so my 2 boys would spend time there instead.
We stayed self catering, and used the supermarket next to the hotel which was well stocked. We ate out in Adeje every night which had plenty of choice for good value restaurants. We ate in the hotel one night, but found it to be manic and the food was ok, but we could get better and cheaper outside. The entertainment was worth watching for a chuckle, but at least it was better than the neighbouring hotel Isla Bonita, which brings me on to my next point...
Our villa was located right on the edge of the site, and bordered onto the service road for the Isla Bonita. If we sat on our patio, we had a lovely view of a mountain on one side, but also the noise of lorries and motorbikes going up and down the service road. Worst of all was the evening entertainment. This started at 8pm and went through to after 11, and even if we were in our villa it was very loud. I would not recommend villa 802 if you have young children! Thankfully ours were happy to watch the isabel entertainment until 11pm. Overall, we loved Adeje and would return to Hotel Isabel, but would request a bungalow in a quiet area of the hotel.
