“A calm and relaxing oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

We werent great fans of the Costa Adeje resort but the hotel was a fantastic oasis. Rooms were well equipped, extremely clean and with comfy beds. The pool was excellent although you did have to be there fairly early to get a sun lounger. Food also excellent - we were half board which gave us choice of eating in the other restaurants on site, including the very pleasant Las Rocas (which was overlooking the ocean). Drinks a little pricey but service and environment make it worth the money. Wifi available in the comfortable lobby bar with good internet speeds.

Stayed for one week using the hotels golf and stay package which was extremely well organised by their dedicated golf team and we thought very good value. Nothing was too much trouble for the team being able to organise exactly what you required and change tee times to suit your needs. This was my fourth visit to this hotel and I have never been disappointed by any aspect of the hotel, the facilities, the food or the staff who all do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as an ideal location for a holiday or as a centre for a golfing break.

Got a good price on this hotel and it got good reviews on this site, so decided to stay here.
Took about fifteen minutes in a taxi, check in was prompt and i was offered a complimentary drink which was nice. Hotel is old fashioned in a moroccan style. It is huge and is like a maize which is really nice because there are so many places to wander or sit and read a book etc. Breakfast was included and this area was very busy but the food was great. On my first night i decided to have dinner in this same restaurant and it was buffet. Food was very good but was expensive as i soon discovered when i dined down the street during the week. Hotel has two lovely swimming pools and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. When i checked out, i asked reception for a spare room to shower as i had a late flight that evening. This was granted and i thought this was a nice touch. I also asked for directions to bus station and i got good instructions and a map from reception. Bus station is about a ten minute walk from hotel so no need for a taxi (think it cost about 5euro). Overall i would certainly recommend this hotel and i would definitely consider returning again

Our intention was 1 week of relaxation in the sun and we hadn't been away at all in the year so decided to spend a bit more on the hotel. We're very glad we did...

We cannot fault the Jardin Tropical - room, staff, food, location(although we didn't travel around that much) and character.

Being one of the first hotels(we were there whilst they were having their 25th anniversary party) built in this area, plus the moorish external design/comtemporary internal, gives this hotel plenty of character - lots of exploration areas, lots of sun beds in various areas(our favourite was the upper level as no palm trees blocking the sun).

During our stay, we did not experience 1 member of staff who didn't excel - they were faultless - e.g. it was my birthday whilst out there and my wife had taken some decorations for the room - we kept it to ourselves and didn't tell the hotel this. We're guessing that once the cleaners saw his, they mentioned it to the management who then organised for a bottle of champagne/chocolates to be inthe room when we arrived back that evening. Also cake and candles provided for the evening meal...nice touch.

Only niggle was the poor wifi - as we were there for relaxation, it was welcome as switching off from online for a few days was great. On saying that, it appeared to be ok on our last day when I was looking at the return flight details etc.

Very sad indeed to leave yesterday and back to cold Scotland.

Highly recommend for a higher standard of holiday - if going back to Tenerife again, it would have to a fairly major reason why we wouldn't stay at the Jardin Tropical. Thank you all.

Stayed for a week with our family of 4 and grandparents. Really appreciated the lovely design and layout that made a large hotel feel very personal and delightful to walk around. There are lots of different spaces and areas to sit and relax, talk or swim. The different bars and restaurants were all very good, we especially enjoyed the top terrace bar outside for evening drinks and coffee and had three delightful meals at the las rocas restaurant and bar by the sea. Service was generally good, our room was fine if a little small but we had a terrace leading into a small patch of garden. The pools and sun terraces were great (despite the insistence of guests reserving loungers) The pool team were great at finding loungers and mattresses whenever you needed them, in the sun or the shade. Our only issues were the courtesy room we used for our late checkout (was flooded and hadn't been cleaned) and reserving dinner tables as we were breakfast only (we could only get in hotel restaurant bookings for our last three nights). Definitely recommend dinner out in la caleta (la vieja), restaurant wolfi...along the promenade for good value lunches and el mago at the foot of calle Bretagne by the small roundabout where the hotel road hits the promenade on the first floor. We'll return.

This was our 15th holiday in Teneife in 20 years and this was the best hotel of all. We had seen the hotel from the outside on previous holidays and after researching its facilities we decided it looked like a good choice. We have not been disappointed! On arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff and were directed to our personal receptionist desk and seated in comfortable chairs and offered a glass of champagne or orange juice. Our hospitable receptionist escorted us to our room. we were disappointed with the room location but quickly relocated to a room with which we were happy.

The room was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. The bathroom was well designed with separate toilet. There was a minibar, safe, TV, hairdryer, controllable airconditioning, and excellent bedside reading lights. The balcony was a bonus.

The beautiful pool and gardens have to be seen to admire. There were always enough sunbeds and shade umbrellas. It was very rarely noisy with most guests just chilling in the sun with plunges into the dream pool. No noise from piped music or organised group activities. A second pool terrace down by the sea was more like a lazy river filled with sea water. A bit cold for us so we chose to stay with the main pool area.

We were on half board which entitled us to an amazing selection from the buffet breakfast with chefs cooking eggs, omelettes, pancakes to order. The buffet dinner was also amazing and we could have enjoyed our meals here for the whole 2 week holiday. However we were entitled to choose to dine in one of the other 3 restaurants. We chose to dine in the gourmet El Patio Restaurant on our wedding anniversary. We had a 25 Euro per person discount. Not cheap but well worth the experience. Amazing cuisine! We also dined on 3 evenings at the water's edge Las Rocas Restaurant. Most of the a la carte menu was included within the plan and the food and service were excellent. The setting was outside on a platform jutting out over the sea. Take your sunglasses with you and enjoy the sun set and the sound of the crashing waves.

There is also a Japanese restaurant which we did not use.

In the evening there is limited entertainment. Our favourite was to lounge on the patio listenting to the excellent duo playing easy listening covers mostly from the 60s & 70s.

There is a wellness spa on site but we did not use it.
We loved the hotel and will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Request a poolview room as the garden rooms are really the back rooms. Request a quiet room if that...

It's 8 years since we first visited and most years we have been at least twice. To put things into context we have at least another 2 holidays each year in other parts of the world, but when I need a break and want a hit the ground running holiday the Jardin is my first choice. We have stayed in most parts of the hotel and some are better than others, but we have found them all comfortable. The hotel has been refurbished in the last couple of years and the reception and lounges are modern and comfortable and we really think them a big improvement. They have done the same to the main restaurant, but my wife still says each time we stay that she liked it the way it was. We almost always spend our days down the Beach Club which never fails to give me that good feeling and memories of many excellent books read under the hot sun. The staff are mostly excellent, very attentive, and friendly. Naturally we have our favourites, but even after so many visits there a couple to which we remain invisible. I have recommended the Jardin to many people as I believe it to be a very good hotel, but I always say that it is my personal choice and Adeje as an area may not be every bodies idea of paradise. Back to the Jardin we enjoy breakfasts and when we have done half board the food has been great. We will book our first stay of 2013 shortly.

Room Tip: Sea view always popular but garden view at the sides is better value.
