Hotel Nerja Princess

We have recently stayed at the Nerja Princess, this is a lovely hotel, small and very clean. The staff are courteous and helpful. The pool area is exeptionally clean as the hotel throughout.
We had booked a 10 night stay, but then requested an extension for another 4 nights. We were told we would have to move rooms for the last 5 nights to a room 'overlooking' the street. Our first room was a large room with king size bed and a large bathroom. It was on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the pool, beyond the pool area was a large car park which did not cause us any problems in fact leaving the hotel by the back entrance and cutting across the car park diagonally to the right was a great shortcut through to the Balcon de Europa. You could also see the sea beyond the car park. In all we were quite satisfied with the accomodation. The breakfast was good with reasonable choices ,fresh breads and pastries etc, and as much freshly made tea or coffee etc as you wanted.
Unfortunately when we had to change rooms we were not given a room 'overlooking' the street, it was 'on the street'. There were wrought iron bars in front of the windows and we had to leave the curtains closed to have any privacy at all. The room, although clean was only half the size of the previous one as was the bathroom. It was not suitable in my opinion for a holiday stay. We subsequently checked out of the hotel and moved to another for the rest of our holiday. To be fair the management gave us a reasonable discount which meant in effect that we did not pay for the last nights' stay. I would reccomend this hotel but not rooms 205 + 206 as they are both on the ground floor, no balcony and like staying in a dungeon!

We stayed 1 night at Nerja Princess for 78eur. Great location, 5 min walk to Balcon de Europa. 2 blocks from ocean. I'm guessing there are 20 rooms at the hotel; 12 of them have terraces that overlook the ocean. Rooms were modern and clean. Balcony & bathroom seemed to be fairly newly remodeled. Room was adequate size for 2 people (2 twin beds). Bed was decent (not great, not terrible). Balcony had 2 chairs & table. TV had probably 30 channels, but only a few in English: CNN World, BBC World, SkyNews and World Sport. Room rate included breakfast which was pretty good: freshly baked pastries (chocolate stuffed croissants & cream cheese croissants - wow), cereal, fresh fruit, selection of cold cuts and cheeses, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices. (I love food) Service was outstanding for a 3* hotel with free breakfast. We were checked on every few minutes and brought 3 rounds of hot beverages. Coffee was excellent and strong! Wait staff spoke little English but tried their best and made up for it with prompt, friendly service. Front desk spoke good English and gave decent restaurant recommendation. Walls were thin - could sometimes hear TV in other room and water/toilet flushing but neighbors were courteous and quiet. At night could hear some music through sliding glass door from clubs several blocks away but it was faint and not a nuisance. Overall, huge 2 thumbs up for Nerja Princess!

We stayed at the Nerja Princess in the middle of June, whilst house hunting in Spain. It is easy to find as it is signposted from the main road into Nerja. On entering the hotel we were pleasantly surprised by the cool marble decor. This hotel has a really friendly feel. The receptionist was kind and helpful. Our room was on the same level as the Reception desk, which in truth made it rather noisy, especially early in the morning with check outs, but don't let this deter you, there are other floors!! Our room was spotless, the bathroom was of an excellent standard, with bath and shower, and a lovely set of toiletries, etc that even included a comb!! There is also a minibar in the room. Our room (they all have balconies) looked out over a lovely planted area which turned out to be the roof of the toilets by the swimming pool, but you never would have known this. The pool was lovely, and there is a nice area to lounge around in. If you had a room on the upper levels you would look out over the car park, but car parking is plentiful, so no worries there! Breakfast delicious, loads of fresh fruit. There is a restaurant in the same street recommended in The Rough Guide to Andalucia, but we didn't go there, tried a couple of others in town, which is only about 5 minutes walk away. Lots of places nearby to buy water, etc. A fabulous little hotel, would definitely stay again, if we don't buy the farmhouse that we fell in love with!!

“Fantastic Hotel - Maybe The Best In Nerja”

Hotel Nerja Princess

Just returned from my 2nd visit to the Nerja Princess hotel. This is a family run hotel, with about 15 rooms in total just to the left of the Balcon de Europa (about 5 mins walk).

The hotel is modern and VERY clean - marble floors throughout, air con, minibar, very friendly staff. Breakfast served to 10.30am (although flexible, we arrived down at 10.50am and got served). It's a buffet style breakfast but if you talk nicely to the cook she will make you bacon & eggs. Great food served all day, Spanish home cooking at its best.

There is an enclosed area at the rear with the pool which is great for lounging about all day - nice & quiet.

The only drawback I can think of, and it didn't make a difference to our holiday, was the view from the balcony - it's a car park. On the plus side this makes parking very easy for the hotel and there is a rear entrance to take your luggage in/out.

Overall a great little hotel for a quiet relaxed holiday.
