We have recently stayed at the Nerja Princess, this is a lovely hotel, small and very clean. The staff are courteous and helpful. The pool area is exeptionally clean as the hotel throughout.
We had booked a 10 night stay, but then requested an extension for another 4 nights. We were told we would have to move rooms for the last 5 nights to a room 'overlooking' the street. Our first room was a large room with king size bed and a large bathroom. It was on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the pool, beyond the pool area was a large car park which did not cause us any problems in fact leaving the hotel by the back entrance and cutting across the car park diagonally to the right was a great shortcut through to the Balcon de Europa. You could also see the sea beyond the car park. In all we were quite satisfied with the accomodation. The breakfast was good with reasonable choices ,fresh breads and pastries etc, and as much freshly made tea or coffee etc as you wanted.
Unfortunately when we had to change rooms we were not given a room 'overlooking' the street, it was 'on the street'. There were wrought iron bars in front of the windows and we had to leave the curtains closed to have any privacy at all. The room, although clean was only half the size of the previous one as was the bathroom. It was not suitable in my opinion for a holiday stay. We subsequently checked out of the hotel and moved to another for the rest of our holiday. To be fair the management gave us a reasonable discount which meant in effect that we did not pay for the last nights' stay. I would reccomend this hotel but not rooms 205 + 206 as they are both on the ground floor, no balcony and like staying in a dungeon!
