“Xmas Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

As is common in these reviews, we were a little concerned when we read prior reviews of this hotel. We booked a one week all inc for xmas and on arrival got an upgrade to a 2 bed apartment with lovely sea view. Obviously the weather helps make a great stay but the staff were faultless and worked so hard to make our stay a great one. The facilities were excellent and although the entertainment was a little repetitive we really enjoyed it. A short walk along the beach to nerja was lovely. The buffet style restaurant had so much choice even my fussy 8yr old twins ate well everyday. I would happily recommend it and we might even return next xmas with the rest of the family!

Room Tip: if you have children it is worth getting the two bed or bigger so you actually get some peace!

In general, great value for money. We went all inclusive as a party of three adults over the Xmas period for 1 week. We opted to stay in a two bedroomed apartment rather than the usual hotel bedrooms so there was no single room supplement. The apartment was clean and adequate for three. We had to ask for extra pillows and the quality of these left a lot to be desired and thereby affected the comfort of the beds. The hotel in general is very clean and the service areas and restaurant are adequate, however the bar and its seating area is to small to cope with the number of guests. It was very difficult to find seats and tables to watch the evening entertainment. The food in general was excellent with plenty of choice. However the Xmas gala meal was disappointing, the intent to give a good experience was there but most of it was inedible. We ordered a picnic meal for lunch on the last day which didn't materialise and one bed was left unmade for some reason on the penultimate day. The evening entertainment was amateurish and only lasted for an hour. The pool facilities are not adequate for a winter sun venue and the spa was expensive. A good venue for the warmer months but not enough going on for a winter venue.

Spent 4 nights including Christmas day at this hotel, what a great choice. From the nice greeting in the reception, the great food and helpful friendly staff the sun was shining too so that was a little added bonus. The only fault that I found was with the staff in the Spa and in fact the spa its self was disappointing. Our room was large bright and spacious, all of the hotel was very clean.

We stayed there a year back during our trip to Spain for 5 days and I would whole heartedly recommend the place to young couples and families. The hotel is right next to the beach, has an in-house swimming pool and also entertainment arrangements every evening.

The room has a fully fitted kitchen which comes in very handy to cook food or heat up things etc. for the kids. The room is spacious and have very good views.

Hotel clean and rooms very nice and spacious Lovely sea view Bar staff could be pleasanter were sometimes quite rude but seemed to be short staffed as sometimes had to wait ages for a drink. Very busy at weekends with Spanish people. Food very poor. The only meal that was hot was Paella Everything was cold this lets the hotel down Staff in restaurant very good Lovely hotel on beach Spoiled by poor food

Just returned from a month stay at this hotel. Location is fine as can walk into Nerja no problem and a bus stop at the end of the drive. Staff excellent and a very clean hotel Food very good but could be a lot hotter according to our Saga rep this is how the Spanish like it but not the English often a lot waiting for the micro wave to heat the food up. Pool cold as not heated and the spa would have cost us the earth to have a dip every day for a month. One side of the hotel had dogs barking throughout the night many complaints and change of rooms while we were there. The real down full of this hotel is the fact that the Spanish spend week ends here and they take over the English are treated as second class citizens you cannot even get a seat in the bar in the evenings and noise goes on until 1.00 in the morning. The hotel has to decide wether they want tourists or Spanish as this is such a shame as could be a great hotel. Will never go back
