We know the chef Steve from previous restaurants and when we discovered he was opening Bakus we cold hardly wait to enjoy his wonderful food again. We were not disappointed - this guy knows how to mix/blend flavours like nobody else! It is so good we went 3 times in the first 2 weeks after he opened. We tried different dishes each time and could not fault any of them.
The wine list caters for all tastes and budgets with the very good Coto de Hayes as the house wine. We believe the house wine says a lot about a restaurant.
Prices for each course have been carefully thought out bearing in mind there is a recession going on, but the quality of the food has not been reduced.
The staff are all known to us from other top restaurants and are warm and welcoming. The decor is understated but oozes quality. The outside area will be fantastic in summer as they are open for lunch and dinner.
Our advice is go there for a wonderful dining experience and you will just want to keep on returning. Do, however book in advance for night times.
