Returned with my daughter this year having visited in 2012. The position is wonderful and although it is all a bit 1970s the hotel is still in excellent condition. The clifftop setting overlooking the beach is definitely the USP and breakfast on the terrace with the sun glinting on the water, with a little early mist over the surface must be one of the best ways to start a day. This is definitely the place to stay in Nerja. Only negative now is the daily parking fee introduced a few months ago, but this is halved if an Amigo de Parador. They hinted this was a result of the recent economic situation but I'll be surprised if it is ever removed. Ten minutes of that view though and it seems a paltry matter.
