We travelled to Nerja for a friends wedding and we knew we weren't going to spend too much time in the hotel.
First Impressions
The lobby was very nice, pretty with ample place to sit. The service from reception was good and check in was quick. The room was basic, our balcony overlooked the main road at the front of the property. There are no tea/coffee making facilities and no tv. No air conditioning, just an overhead ceiling fan.
Cleanliness
The room seemed initaly clean but when i went for a bath i discovered a massive clump of hair wrapped round the plug and various other hairs in the bath which made me feel very ill!! The rest of the room was ok and the maids seemed to do a good job of the bedrrom area.
Food
We had only booked bed and breakfast. We ate breakfast on the first day and I wasn't impressed. There were sausage, bacon beansetc avilable but apart from that the selection was basic and the quality not great. We ate breakfast at a cafe on Burriana Beach called Dancers every day.
Entertainment
We experienced the entertainment round the pool one evening. This was a lounge singer and it was ok but I feel it's was more geared to an older guest (40 upwards). Most of the guests were this age and the entertainment stopped quite early.
The pool area looked nice but I did not go in the pool.
For the divers among you, the Buceo Costa Nerja on Burriana beach are great (website is www.nerjadiving.com).
Nerja itself is very pretty, the caves are well worth a visit and I wish we'd had time to visit Gibraltar.
All in all this hotel is ok if you are planning on being out and about and not spending much time here. You get what you pay for basically and it served it's purpose but I wouldn't hurry to go back to Villa Flamence, though I would return to Nerja itself.
