We found this place as a timeshare opportunity. We had no idea what to expect and since each apt is privately owned by someone (each is different), we knew it was a crapshoot.
We rented a RCI property, Apt 9 from May 8-15. It was a 2 bed 2 bath (1 full size, the other twins). The beds were lousy. The furniture in general was tired. But overall, there was enough seats for all 4 of us, all the kitchen equipment we could imagine and the place was generally clean.
We had a great view of the Mediterranean and a nice basically private backyard and porch. We spent quite a bit of time out there. We didn't utilize the pools because it wasn't that hot and it cost some money to rent chairs, etc. Instead we tanned and drank beer, soda and water at the apt. The Satellite TV had about 4 English channels, which we did watch some. The grocery store on site at the resort was more expensive than the SuperSol down the street from the resort. But overall the prices were reasonable. And in Granada we went in a "Walmart" style grocery store that was even more cheap.
As for what we did, we bummed 4 days, took a trips to Gibraltar (did a 2 hour tour taxi), Granada (Alhambra Palace), and Nerja caves. We also drove around some smaller cities, but can't recall the names. The beach was really pretty far from the resort to walk. But you can easily drive down to the beach and enjoy beach loving with a really beautiful view of cliffs.
There are many beachside restaurants in Nerja that were all good. The beer and wine is inexpensive and we enjoyed that! Also, the Italian place and the English place were really good.
We kind of wish we had done a olive oil place to learn how they do that. There are tremendous amount of olive trees past Granada.
If you have any questions, email me.
