“Maybe dont go when the football is on!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Dropped in on a cold quiet night in march, sat down, not offered a menu or tapas, just served our drinks. After 30 mins i eventually asked for a menu and was given one but the staff didnt seem to want us to eat. This may have been due to the fact that Barcelona were playing on tv and all the staff were stood watching it. We ordered food and it came quite fast, and to be fair it was really really good, the salmon my boyfriend had was gorgeous! The atmosphere was good, because Barca won but it was the weirdest service ive ever had. At one point the waiter had two plates in his hands to take to a table and just stopped glued to the tv holding them! I would go again as the food was very good but id avoid a match night (which in Spain is hard because its always on!)

“Excellent Spanish restaurant for meals and tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We had lunch at this restaurant, located at the top of Calle Malaga by the roundabout. There is also outside seating (for warmer days). The restaurant was very full for a mid-January Wednesday lunchtime. Many customers were buying drinks and having tapas. For only €1.60 the large glasses of wine included generous-sized tapas.

We decided to order from the menu. As an appetiser one of us tried the liver tapa which was delicious. The other chose the seafood soup (€6), served in a tureen with plenty of shellfish and other fish in a creamy and tasty broth.

For main courses one chose the salmon with a cream and prawn sauce (€11.50), which was firm and fresh. The other chose the chicken breast with pepper sauce (€7.75) - very good. Both dishes came served with fresh fried potatoes (hand-cut wedges) and fresh crisp carrots and green beans, a great improvement on the standard vegetable offering in many Spanish restaurants.

We chose a bottle of Protos Roble Ribera del Duero red wine (€19), but there were cheaper wines available and also wines by the glass.

The service was very professional and attentive and one of the waiters spoke very good English.

“We will return.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

We passed by several times and noticed how busy it always appeared and now we know why. Great menu and reasonable prices and the house red was superb. We both ordered the entrecote, cooked to perfection, and the sauces - included in the price, not an add on - were very tasty. Sevice was impeccable. Already pencilled in another visit when we next visit Nerja. It is a great place to sit and relax with a drink whilst people watching. You will enjoy.

“Nice atmosphere at this bar/cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Unlike the previous reviewer we didn't get free tapas with our drinks here but the prices for beer and snacks was very good. It was just outside our apartment so we went at different times of the week for different things. Lunch twice, drinks once and meal once - we enjoyed them all. The prawns pil pil were very good and the omelettes for a quick snack were very cheap.
