“Clean, spacious, self catering apartments.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I have stayed in these apartments 4/5 times now. They are spotlessly clean, spacious, well equipt (pots, pans, utensils etc., even a washing machine) have a supermarket nearby and are within a five to ten minute walk of the town centre. You can get English TV channels, which is nice in the evenings of the cooler winter months & if you get one at the front there are great sea views from the balcony. If you arrive when the office is closed you have to ring the owner, who doesn't speak a lot of English, or else ring the bell at the house opposite (no. 16, I think it is).

Just back from spending a week in the Fercormar. The upside is the apartments are very reasonable and very close to all the amenities. The downside was the beds were unnaturally hard. So much so that two of our party (who are older ladies) didn't get much sleep. Also we arrived late on sunday night and had a bit of job trying to find out where to get our keys as the reception was closed. All in all place is very clean and the owner is a really nice guy.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2012

We stayed at The Fercomar Appartments for 5 days in March 2012. Very reasonable price and immaculately clean. Consisted of 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and lounge diner plus balcony. As stated in other reviews appartments are close to all the local amenities and supermarkets. Plenty of good eating establishments around catering for most tastes.
The communual areas of the appartments appeared to be cleaned daily. Like other reviews our only minor complaint was the sound of Tv and chairs scraping from the appartment upstairs, but this is true of most Spanish appartments. All in all thoroughly recommended.

This is the second time i have stayed at these apartments and i just cannot fault them. First thing i must mention is that if the office is not open then you need to go to the house on the corner opposite the Fercomar apartments entrance, the house number is 16 and the owner/landlord will book you in and give you the keys.
The apartments are of a high standard and are spotlessly clean and roomy. On entering our apartment, there was a short corridor with the kitchen on the right hand side, which was comprehensively kitted out with everything, kettle, toaster, microwave, halogen cooker and extractor, large fridge freezer and a laundry room on a small balcony containing a washer and sink. Carrying on into the lounge, there is a table and four chairs in the right hand corner and nearer to the balcony doors were two sofas at right angles to each other surrounding a coffee table and facing a wall unit containing the TV, complete with all Astra satellite channels and showing all the main English channels. Off the lounge were the two large bedrooms, seperated by the immaculate bathroom, one bedroom has a double bed and the other has two single beds.
The rooms can get a little chilly at night in the Winter/Spring months but there is an electric heater supplied which is more than adequate to heat the apartment.
The apartment is superbly located on a quiet pedestrian walkway, the nearest supermarket being 2 minutes walk away as are the nearest shops and restaurants, the nearest beach at Torrecilla is a mere 5 minutes walk. The walk to the centre of town and the Balcon will take around 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.
All in all, a superbly located and well appointed apartment block that's value for money, what more could anyone ask for.

Good food- Mirasol, bottom of Calle Castilla Perez (try the pork skewer, unbelievable), The Codfather on Calle Mediterraneo (great fish and chips), La Tahona (tapas), Dragon on Calle Diputación (good Chinese with a budget menu), Coach and Horses, centre of town on Almirante Ferrandiz or Post Office street (good home cooked food with generous portions)

Good bars - Sarah and Manolo's on Calle Mediterraneo (friendly bar open til late), El Bosque on Calle Castilla Perez (shows all the sports), Los Barilles on Calle Carabeo in centre of town (quaint little spanish bar serves a free tapas with each drink and you must try the Chorizo al Infierno, small chorizo sausages cooked in a little terracotta pig - very tasty and only 2 Euros.
There are lots and lots of good bars all over Nerja, too many to mention and not enough space.

Room Tip: Rooms on the Northern side, overlooking the pedestrianised walkway, do not get any sun at all.

Stayed for a long weekend and wished we could have had longer. Apartment was new and clean and in a quiet location but as people have said, everywhere was within walking distance. The only comment I would make is that the name of the street is Doctor Farran, but this is quite a long street, which is divided in the middle, so it's on either side of a main street. We couldn't find the apartments for a while, the numbering is not very clear. At one end of the street there is an office around the corner and this is clearly marked - once you find it! Also, the beds were very hard - but we still managed to sleep!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2009

The apartments are quite recent, having been finished in 2008, so everything is in very good condition. The apartment was spotless when we arrived, and it's set on a quiet location, just a few minutes walking to the nearest beach and to a couple of supermarkets.
It is in walking distance to the centre of the town as well, although a bit more far from Burriana Beach.
However, when we arrived it was not so easy to find the Apartment block because the street is just for pedrestrians and is divided in two; even the locals were confused about the location, which we then found to be right at the end of the road, at the furthest west side of the town.
One needs to get the key from the agency on the corner of the building, or from the house in front, since the agency was closed most of the time.
The apartment was big enough for 4 people, preferably 2 adults and 2 children. Loads of channels to choose from and in almost any language, as there is Sat TV.
There is a small swimming-pool but it was too cold to venture inside.
The only minus was the noise from the neighbor upstairs, as in most apartments, most noises are easily hearable. Also, the place could use some conditioned air as well.
Aside from that, it was fine.
