this is on the southern approach to the cazorla/segura national park - lonelier and wilder than the northern ones. the scenery, birdlife etc is astonishing but there is very little choice of accommodation in this part of the world, the roads are also slow so advanced planning is needed, especially outside the summer. the hotel itself is a bit odd - dont think they get many visitors outside the seasons - but friendly enough. beds a bit uncomfortable , rooms noisy as off a single corridor and the heating was on full pelt making it very hot. pleasant restaurant with wood fired stove but only OK. town itself is pleasant but unexcited. not cheap at about 75 euros and couldnt recommend but there are worse places if you dont have much choice.
