“Great family holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

This was a family holiday which brought together Mum, Dad, four siblings and their spouses. A wonderful time was had by all. The hotel staff were polite, helpful and made our holiday a memorable one. We were allowed to have one room as late check out and that made a huge difference as my mother is wheelchair bound. We had no difficulty in moving around the hotel and the pool could be easily accessed and was very clean and well maintained. The food was good quality and plentiful. I particularly liked that you had it cooked right in front of you. This makes a big difference. Gentlemen are required to wear long trousers and although I understand why this is done, I was somewhat disconcerted to see ladies with tony shorts and skimpy tops not required to cover up. Maybe smart shorts for men would balance the equation. Anyway a minor point in an otherwise excellent weekend break.

Arrived in the early hours due to flight issue with my elderly Mother. Reception was excellent and most efficient! On arrival in our room we found a cold supper- as we had not made dinner! A nice surprise if you were hungry! :) We enjoyed an excellent 10 day stay. If I had a complaint it would be with regard to the restaurant and pool terrace restaurant- We were on a half board basis, so for lunch we just wanted a salad or light snack which was not available at the pool terrace. You had to go inside into the Hotel to the reception bar which was away from the poolside on a higher level - I thought this was odd and actually a bit of a pain! The restaurant food was a little repetitive, but was all lovely and fresh and replenished at regular intervals-The Grill chefs were great! you will not go hungry! A small negative on the bigger picture! saying all of that- Great Hotel would definitely return 10 out of 10 for us! Thank you for a wonderful break! :)

Just returned from half board holiday here, nice looking hotel with good beach location.
Good points - looks good from the outside, nice swimming pool & beach, also men have to wear long trousers in restaurant otherwise they turn you away to go and get changed.....also men can't eat at outdoor snack bar shirtless they ask you to put your top on ..usually says that in brochure but men usually wear shorts anyway & get way with it , but not here! .........Hotel looks impressive from the beach...friendly reception staff. Swipe card to get into hotel complex from promenade .
Bad points - although food wasn't bad, it wasn't very hot ,there was show cooking...but it seemed anything that wasn't just cooked wasn't very warm!. There was no tea or coffee making facilities
In the room which would have been nice. There was no evening entertainment, just someone playing a piano in the corner or one night there was Spanish football match on the television.
I think they should revamp the rooms , there a bit tired looking & need brightening up!
Nearest shop to buy water is petrol station over the main road, bit of a trek ...
Nice walk along the promenade into fuengirola where there's lots of restaurants & bars and a marina, food and drink are much cheaper in fuengirola 2euros a pint , reasonable priced toasties!
Sunday & Tuesdays are market days they are a must, especially Tuesday market ,lots of bargains!
Bus stop near to hotel only 1.50 euro into fuengirola .
Hopefully we will return next year ....... Just hope the food will be kept hotter by then!...

Room Tip: High rooms have good views

Stayed here last summer, great location. Beaches were really busy, but that's what you'd expect in a tourist part. Fuengirola is a location where the Spanish come on their holidays. The staff were great and the food was lovely.

A beautifully run hotel where we felt welcome from the word go by obviously customer focused staff. We were shown the way to our room which overlooked the sea and was very clean and spacious with white fluffy towels, mini toiletries and a well stocked mini bar although no tea making facilities in room. The hotel wasn't full and so no problem with sun loungers of which there are many and the pools were cleaned every day. No problem also with mealtimes. Not a chip in sight. A variety of hot and cold foods including vegetarian. No-one will starve. There is a bar with resident pianist playing from about 9.00.p.m and also a late night bar with entertainment starting at 10.30.p.m. All areas are immacculately clean and spacious.
Drinks are a little more pricey as you would expect.
This property is on the edge of the town and so a leisurely stroll into the centre. Buses run frequently from a stop near the footbridge to the centre and the area has a good transport system for getting around the various resorts along the coast. There is a new shopping centre a short walk away for upmarket high street shops.

Room Tip: All rooms face the sea and there are ground floor rooms in the Ronda block with doors to a terrace f...
