We booked this hotel through fly globespan for a girly weekend and although not terribly happy with globespan - flights were fine but when we arrived it took 40 mins to get luggage off plane then there was no rep telling us were coach was took us another 40 mins to find transfers to be told by driver that the rep was always late she finally turned up just before we left and didnt even apologise - needless to say we were dreading getting to the hotel.
However, when we go to the hotel we were pleasently surprised. The lobby was clean all marble and nice and cool (we arrived at 1130am and it was already 31 C). On the hotel website it said you cant get into the rooms till 5pm so we were again surprised when we got straight into our room with no fuss at all. The room was huge with 2 single beds and a double sofa bed (we had a studio room) the kitchen was behind a curtain and had a fridge, kettle (although we didnt use it as it was a bit scummy looking on the inside) lots of plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. The balcony had a great view over the pool and you could see right over to the marina and beach - beautiful view to wake up to. The room was very clean and the maid service was brilliant. We were only there friday - monday but we got new towels every day and the room was throughly cleaned every day.
The pool area is clean and tidy lots of sun loungers and yes you have to pay 1 euro but thats for all day and at least it means you get a sun lounger instead of people putting there towels on them at 6am and not coming back till 5pm to use them. If you dont want to pay then you can put your towel down on the grass. The pool bar wasnt open when we where there apparently its only open in peak season (july/aug) but there is a bar in the lobby and you can take your drinks up to the pool (which is on the first level) You do have to put a security code in to get to the pool but you are given it when you check in and its easy to remember and its to stop outside guests using the pool.
The hotel is in an excellent location loads of restaraunts, pubs and clubs in walking distance. We went to a little cafe every morning for the best breakfast i have ever had it was called the scots-irish cafe definately worth a visit and the cheeseburgers are too die for.
If you go out the hotel and turn left and walk along the main road take the first left and walk up that road you get to a pub called linekers which is actually under the hotel pool - brilliant laugh music really good.
Everybody is really friendly - this was one of the best girly holidays i have ever had cant wait to go back next year.
My only warning point is that this hotel is used by alot of stag and hen parties and people on long weekends so it can be a bit rowdy on the weekends as pubs and clubs are open till 7am. There were a few families there and they seemed to be impressed with the hotel as much as we were.
