“Great Value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2014

Very nice small hotel. Very good location: right in the old distric of the city. Clean and functional rooms. Great breackfast!. The lady at the reception desk was very nice and helpful. Don't miss Baeza, it's a beautiful small town. Easy to park on the street with some luck and patience.

Hostal Aznaitin is towards the edge of Baeza but still only a few minutes walk from most parts of its Monumental District. The hotel seems quite new and is modern in style. We were first given room 104 but finding that it was next to the lift which made some noise we asked to be moved. Our new room, 112 was spacious, at the back of the building and very quiet. The twin beds were much more comfortable than normally encountered in Spain especially in two star establishments. The bathroom featured a large shower with plenty of water presssure. The room was at the top of the stairs leading to the gymnasium area, fitted with four or five exercise machines and the outdoor swimming pool. It was one of the rooms set aside for smokers and we would normally have rejected it but there was no detectable odour of smoke. Returning, rather damp, from an afternoon walk the receptionist gave us a voucher for complimentary coffees in the attached pub which features typical games such as pool, darts and table football. Apart from that, and the breakfast room there are no public indoor sitting areas. The cold breakfast selection was good although it leaned towards the sweeter end of the taste spectrum. The staff were all very pleasant and we would thoroughly recommend the Aznaitin which we thought, at 43€ a night during the week and 53€ at weekends, including breakfast, offered exceptional value.

The Hostal Aznaitin is a great find in Baeza! The star rating is only 2-stars, but could easily be 3. The hotel is on the inside edge of the old city, so walking anywhere is no problem. We asked for a room with a balcony, and were given a fabulous rooms with 2 balconies; one with a view of the bell tower of the cathedral, and the other with a view of the mountains in Cazorla national park. The room itself wasn't huge, but very modern and clean. The large bed was very nice, and the bathroom was great. Breakfast was also very good for a couple of days. The staff is also extremely helpful and willing to assist with any asked. Definitely a great little place in Baeza!

Room Tip: Ask for the corner room on the first floor of the main building. That's the room described above...

I just stayed there for 2 nights and the price was excellent and it's location too, near the old quarter, you can walk everywhere. The receptionists were very helpful and kind. The room was rather small but it was all clean and very new for a B&B, you really feel as if you were in a hotel.

Excellent small hostal within easy walking of the town centre. We asked for a quiet room and were given one on the top floor. Unfortunately, this did mean that we had no window to look out of but then we don't spend much time in our room anyway so not a major problem for us. The bathroom was a little cramped but was clean and had a good shower. Breakfast was reasonable and at only 3€ per person was good value - pity about the large, loud television that was on in the small breakfast room. There is no parking but we had no problems finding parking on a side street next to the hostal.

Very modern, well designed small hotel. Staff reasonably friendly and speak some English. Good breakfast included in price we paid. Reasonable sized rooms. Good place to stay overnight. Parking is difficult but in October was easy to park in streets below and walk up to hotel. Note pool closes end September.

Clean, simple, modern decor, totally unexpected in small town Baeza. Friendly staff, really great breakfast with lots of choice. The best part was arriving , hot and tired , to find a gorgeous small swimming pool to jump into!
