La Fuente Del Sol is an undiscovered treasure in the mountains of Andalusia. Having only been open a year and built from new, the building is immaculate. They have everything here apart from noise and disturbance. The ultimate hotel for rest and relaxation. For a special trip we recommend the Imperial Suite - The Romero (number 13) with its huge balcony and jacuzzi bath.
We cannot rate this hotel highly enough. The food is presented and served with the utmost care and style. Nothing is too much trouble for the receptionists, waiters or manager.
Definitely a place to visit anytime of the year. We came here during the summer but saw beautiful areas with large open fireplaces that must be magical in the winter.
We´ll be back to find out!

This truly is an Amazing Hotel……….We really needed a break from work in Malaga so I was hesitant to book only one night - but after 24 hour of the sheer luxury offered by La Fuente del Sol I feel totally refreshed ………& Wow, what a hotel. The warm & friendly staff really care & went out of their way to make sure we were catered for in detail, The chef even gave me – a non meat eater – a choice of 5 different vegetarian dishes out side the exquisite menu!

The setting for this hotel is fantastic, extensive views of beautiful andalucian country side every where…….& needless to say the cortijo style of the Hotel itself is exquisite. Our room had exactly what I needed – an open plan round sunkin Jacuzzi bath………need I say more!!! The finishing’s & décor is perfect. The bedding so very soft. The spacious suit did exactly what we needed – completely relaxed us.

In November 2006 we twice dined in this beautiful hotel although we were staying elsewhere at the time and immediatly decided to return for a seven night stay as soon as possible, having done so we have been most impressed by the staff, location and facilities.

Our en-suite bedroom was excellently appointed and most comfortable and had great views over rolling countryside to the distant Med.

The dining room is beautifully laid out and the food from the varied menu choice is out of this world.

With two swimming pools (one internal), a gym, tennis court also horse riding available you are never short of facilities within the complex, however some time should be spent visiting El Chorro and also Torcal with its fantastic rock formations.

The well signed road up from La Joya was a dirt track last year but has since been well coated with tar.

Our thanks to Luis and all the staff for their care and attention during our stay, we will return for seven nights in 2008.

Fuente del Sol is a lovely rural hotel nestling in mountains North of Malaga. The location is quite remote so you need a car to get there, but it is certainly worth the trip. The hotel feels like a modern reproduction of an old Spanish building and our room was beautiful with sloping exposed beams and a distant view of mountains. There is a spa, tennis court, mountain bikes and a lovely mid-priced restaurant. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome indeed. I would definitely stay here again in preference to the nearby Costa del Sol, and use it as a base for visiting the cities of Andalusia.
