We do a short or long break at least six times a year. La Fuente del Sol is by far one of the best hotels we ever stayed at.

The rooms, the food, the views, the service, the staff, the location, the peace and quiet, the spa, all excellent.

The first time we visited the hotel was in May 2007, we booked a standard room. January 2008 was our second time, this time we booked a suite with sunken jacuzzi and fireplace.

The restaurant is magnificent. Since our first stay, we visit it regularly, to enjoy the chef's gastronomic creations.

We'll stay there again in October. And bring friends.

We had to stay here under difficult circumstances recently when my mother died. This place was fantastic - a real retreat. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or attentive but without being intrusive. The rooms and views were lovely and the food excellent in the evenings. We hope to go back under better circumstances soon!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights, using the hotel as a base to explore the local area, including Grenada.
What a find!
The location is spectacular, and really the photographs on the website do not do it justice. Tranquility, wonderful fresh air. beautiful sunshine and breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys.
The building is immaculate inside and out. Our double room was superb with lots of luxurious touches - jacuzzi bath being one of them.
The restaurant was excellent. The chef is talented and creative, making interesting and delicious meals from locally sourced ingredients.
The service in the restaurant was second to none. In fact all the staff in the hotel were helpful and approachable while being discreet and 'in the background', stepping up when needed.
I loved the spa. Towels, slippers and robes are provided and all guests have unlimited access to a glorious indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. As it was winter, we didn't attempt the outdoor pool!
This is without doubt one of the best hotels we have stayed in.
If you are looking for peace and relaxation in a modern, perfectly equipped and staffed hotel, where peace and tranquility is the primary focus, Hotel Fuente del Sol is the place to go.

This is a fairly new hotel that hes been built in the mountains with fantastic views right down to the coast. Four people went to celebrate a birthday with little idea of what to expect. There are many things that go together to have made this a memorable stay. The situation is remote but not at all difficult. The hotel is ideally placed for walking and visiting Anetquera and El Torcal. It has a spa and gymnasium in addition to an outdoor pool. The only extra charge is for massage treatments. The next unexpected highlight was the restaurant. The chef produces food that matches some of the best in Spain. There was nothing that four people eating different things could fault. Rooms are large with vaulted ceilings and there is TV, DVD, bathroom with all the usual toiletries and extras. Like most Spanish hotels, there is no facility to make a hot drink in the room. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Will definately go back some time soon. I almost forgot, the hotel has six horses that can be used to explore the countryside.
