The hotel was situated in a one way street which was extremely difficult to find (badly sign-posted) and in fact we eventually iarrived at the hotel from the wrong direction. We expected parking facilities near the hotel ... but in fact the PUBLIC parking facilities were a considerable walk away. After our long walk in considerable heat we enquired as to the whereabouts of the bar ... only to be told "the bar only opens for breakfast" which is great I supose for alcoholics desperate for a drink in the morning. All that was on offer was water. I suppose the problem could have been aleviated to a small extent if there were mini-bars provided in the room, but alas no. The hotel itself is beautiful, a beautifully restored 1762 palace with a central courtyard around which the rooms are placed. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and in all having much character and charm. Shame about the lack of bar/refreshment facilities.
