“Important. Recently renewed! Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2012 via mobile

This hotel is fantastic. Completely renewed some months ago, it's brand new. Design room are spacious, clean and confortable, overviewing the swimmingpool and garden area. Restaurant and breakfast area are in a all window spacious room facing on antequera in one side and on the mountain/ country on the other side. It takes your breath away! Breakfast is incredible, mango papaya passion fruit, differt types of bread, traditional cakes..everything you can desire. And the price is relly good. 80 euros including breakfast. I travel to antequera for business, and I've tryed many hotels. No comparison, this is the best.

As recorded elsewhere, this is a pleasant enough hotel. We paid 115 Euros per night for 2 nights double, B&B. Sadly the breakfast catering seems to exist primarily for the benefit of the staff. The most attractive tables are at the windows looking out over the plain but these are generally cordoned off. If you want some entertainment of a morning, just try to sit down at one. Believe it or not, you're meant to only use those tables which have an upturned coffee pot on a stick at them, (I'm not making this up), presumably to save the staff walking an extra 12m to deliver your coffee. You will also get a bill to sign even when you have paid inclusive of breakfast presumably so that you can add a tip to the zero amount you owe. Breakfast food was generally good but for some reason they always include a display of some very dodgy looking leftovers from the night before. If we went again I think we would just go and have breakfast in the town.

Room Tip: Plumbing can be a bit iffy in some of the lower floor rooms so check out bathroom carefully before y...

Beautiful modern Parador set on the edge of an interesting city with fabulous views from the Vega restaurant. Excellent food beautifully presented and efficient staff. A 15 minute walk from the old part of town, through shopping streets which are pleasant too. Easy to find and easy parking (unlike Arcos de la Frontera!). We drove to El Torcal natural park for a misty walk and saw wild mountain goats and vultures.

This Parador is modern but done very well with great decor and first class facilities.

The views from the dining room are stunning, the food good as was the service.

This was only a one night stopover on our way further east.

Did not see much of town owing to very heavt rain but looked interesting.

I wanted to review this fabulous Parador but then read previous comments which actually say it all. We had a stop over here on the way to Portugal and it surpassed our expectations. We had an excellent evening meal and though it was quiet due to low season we were treated as
honoured guests and the food was excellent.
We were going to leave off one mark for no wi fi only to be told on check out that it is available in the whole hotel. Our fault for not asking on checkin though to be fair it is not
advertised anywhere in the room.

A well hidden side of the hill Parador with views to the north over the plains of Spain allowing winter sunshine to penetrade the panoramic windows in the dining room. The modern design fits beautifully into the landscape allowing for ease of access by car and foot being only a 10 minute stroll from the centre of the town. Rooms were generously proportioned with extremely comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning (warm on cold winter days), quiet locations around gardens, and excellent sound proofing from other rooms. Bathroom good design with good circulations space and a novel glazing to the bedroom wall. Breakfast buffet superb and evening dinner equally good with unusual regional dishes; good selection of wines at Parador prices. Staff very helpful, friendly and discreet. Well worth a divertion and an ideal base for touring Andalucia. An added bonus is that Antequera is a Spanish white walled town in a superb location with interesting churches on every corner, a real Alcazar, and a working bull ring.

We booked late and got a really good deal and then we arrived at the hotel to find it so lovely and quiet and stylish. Helpful staff, good internet service, nice views and just the right distance from the town, a 10 minute stroll past the bull ring. Loved the glass screens in the room's bathroom. We had dinner in the hotel - the local menu - which was OK but we wished we'd gone for the a la carte. The breakfast was good. We would have liked a kettle in the room but staff were happy to provide us with pots of hot water so we made tea in the room. Oh and dressing gowns weren't provided. But apart from that it was perfect!
