A great place to stay if you are after peace and quiet, a real place just to relax.
The whole place is a bit dated, (I half expected Hercule Poirot to appear) but in my view this really adds to the enjoyment of the place. The whole hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and very acceptable.
The breakfast and evening meals are buffet style, and eat as much as you like. Each evening meal had a different theme and the food was very tasty and varied.
The hotel is within easy walking distance to the local town which is well worth visit, as the local vegetable market has cheap good quality fruit.
Gibraltar is in easy reach by bus or taxi, I preferred a taxi. Gibraltar is great place to visit.
The train and bus stations are not far for those who wish to explore the many areas of southern Spain.
Unfortunately the harbour has developed into a large container port so the beach is not readily available, but if you are after a beach then this can be done by bus.
