“Fantastic holiday stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

This hotel made our holiday! My husband and I are travelling Sicily with my brother and elderly parents, It really is a palace! the whole experience! I treated my mum to a massage at the spa and she is still raving about it. The rooms were very well appointed the restaurant was fantastic with great choices and even the family who owns the hotel came to bid us farewell and a safe onward journey.

Room Tip: Great beds and pillows!

We stayed there for 3 nights in July this year and were pleasantly surprised.
After reading a few bad reviews on Trip Adviser, we weren't expecting much, but found just about everything to be great.
Our room was clean, large and everything worked well.
The restaurant had a large variety of food to choose from, we chose 4 different meals, all of which were very good quality.
The outdoor pool area was excellent. The indoor spa & Turkish baths were great & cheap compared to Australian rates.
There were weddings every night, but it did not bother us & the music did not disturb our sleep.

We have stayed in a lot of hotels throughout Italy & I think this was among the best.
Would stay there again.

We booked to stay here for 10 nights as we wished to see the island from a central base. We knew that the hotel catered for conferences, weddings etc, but were unprepared for two Sicilian weddings (450 guests) and a disco on the first five evenings. The events themselves weren't too much of the problem, it was the staff noisily clearing tables used for the reception around the swimming pool until 3.30am. The Manager offered alternative rooms but these either faced the road or the car park. We also found the swimming pool had not been cleaned for the season and was yet to reopen due to a faulty filter. Very disappointing as the room was comfortable, view excellent and the breakfast good. Fine for an overnight stay provided there are no functions.

Room Tip: Rooms on the west side are away from the pool and road/ car park but over the kitchen

Quite difficult to find ( we passed it and had to turn back after a mile or so ) it proved well worth the effort ! Outside the madness of Enna city , it is set in beautiful open countryside with splendid panoramic views . The hotel itself is clean and well maintained , the rooms spacious and well equipped . The restaurant food was beautifully and carefully prepared and served -- though not entirely to our taste - and reasonably priced . Breakfast was splendid . Getting back to the main road involved going up a one -way narrow road -- probably our only real criticism !

Room Tip: Room 102 was terrific , but would have been even better had there not been a conference immediately...

Although the hotel was nearly empty, we were given a room above the swimmingpool, where there was a wedding planned for that evening. Of course there was a lot of noise, but even after 11 o'clock, after the guests had left the pool area, the staff didn't want to turn down the loud music, that was playing right under our window. It kept on playing until 2 in the morning.
But also with no wedding going on music was playing throughout the day, from breakfast till long after dinner, one tape that was played over and over again. I don't think I can ever listen to Michael Buble again.
The next day we requested another room, away from the pool, afraid that there could be another wedding. Only after very long hesitation, we were given another room (again, the hotel was nearly empty).
This room had a huge terrace, however you couldn't sit on it because of the large amount of bird droppings that had never been removed.
Diner was a BIG disappointment. We ordered one entrée (salmon) and two pasta's. After 20 minutes we were informed that there was no salmon available, after agáin 20 minutes the pasta's arrived, but the WRONG ones, both of them. Upon our complaint we were given the right ones, but again after nearly 20 minutes.
There were only 3 tables occupied (ours included), but again there was a big party going on with locals, who got all the staff's attention. Apparently when you are ''just'' a hotel guest, you don't seem to matter.
The waiter was friendly enough, but he hardly spoke any English, which didn't make things easier.
Breakfast doesn't even come close to what the pictures on the site promiss you, watery orange juice, some cheese and salami and marmelade. No fresh fruit in sight.
The hotel sits in the middle of nowhere, outside the grounds there is nothing so you pretty much have to depend on the hotel restaunt for your dinner.
