I recently stayed two nights at the Inn at Carnall Hall. It is a lovely building, with many well appointed rooms. I had a great experience with the staff, who was incredibly helpful when I found myself in a crisis (thanks to American Airlines who lost my luggage). Kudos to them. The room was a bit on the dark side, but spacious, well appointed and with the plus of a thermostat so you have the room as warm or cool as you wanted it. Bathroom was spotless, with nice towels and toiletries. The restaurant is pleasant, but I was a bit disappointed in the food: good stuff, just unremarkable. Breakfast, as some already pointed out, it nothing fancy (plain bagels, cream cheese, fruit and some pastries and cereals-nothing looked homemade). The hotel has wireless internet which you can enjoy on the porch with a nice view of the campus (which was gorgeous with fall colors).
Overall, a great stay, except for the noise factor. The elevator emits a very loud "Bling!" when it reaches the floor. During the day it is not a problem, but this hotel hosted a rehearsal dinner and in general has a nice bar which is open until very late. So, until about 2.30 I would be woken up by people going back to their rooms. It did not help that some of these people were too drunk, or too rude (or both) to figure out that laughing loudly after 2am is not a good idea. Same for the family whose little kids the next night were yelling and laughing until past 11pm. The hotel is not to blame for rude people, of course.
Overall, a very pleasant stay, but it could have been better.
