“Charming Hotel, Breakfast was Weak”

Inn at Carnall Hall

Beautiful restored historical hotel. Loved walking around the lobby and hallways to look at historical photos.

Wonderful classy lounge was crowded, no space to sit...so bar tender happily bought our drinks to the sofa/chair in the lobby in front of the lounge.

Room was very nicely furnished, but quite snug. Queen size bed filled the entire room.

Breakfast was weak. Buffet had delicious pastries and biscuits, but was sparse otherwise. Fruit had run out at 8:10 AM and was not replenished. I got the last cereal bowl at 8:20AM and these were not replenished either. We had to ask the waiter to bring butter. There was no ketchup for the potatoes. Might be better to enjoy the historic hotel and plan to eat breakfast elsewhere.

My husband and I (both U f A alumni) stayed at the Inn in May of 2004. The Inn was very clean, as was our room and bathroom. Our check-in/check-out was quick and pleasant. Ella's restaurant was wonderful for brunch. If you are alumni, don't forget to ask for the alumni rate (you have to show your card at check-in). We had a jacuzzi bath in our room (which was wonderful). The only minor complaint I had was that we were on the bottom floor near the side entrance. Because it is an old building that has been restored, sometimes the noise from the hallway and adjoining rooms wasn't as insulated as we would have liked it to be. Maybe next time, we'll try one of the rooms on the upper floor. We would certainly stay there again though - the location to the sporting events is first-class, and you can walk to Dickson Street - it is so convenient!

My husband and I stayed at Carnall Hall while looking for somewhere to live when we moved back to Fayetteville, (April 2004). We had a wonderful room, with great service. THe building is just gorgeous now, and it's on a wonderful site on the edge of the U of A campus.

My husband and I traveled to Fayetteville last weekend and we enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Carnall Hall on the University of Arkansas Campus. When we arrived the front desk was busy checking in the many guests, but this was not a problem for the terrific staff. They were efficient, organized, and polite. They checked everyone in promptly. Our room at Carnall Hall was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. The whole hotel is clean, white, and crisp except for the lounge which is warm and cozy. It has the feel of a hunting lodge or library. The hotel is not overly ornate or busy and you will find it easy to relax in any part of this hotel. If you decide to stay here, be sure to sit in a rocking chair on the front porch and eat Sunday brunch at Ella's in the hotel. I hope you enjoy the hotel as much as we did!
