“Great small hotel!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

This was a lovely place to stay.! Several family members stayed here for a wedding, and we could not have picked a better place. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were lovely and most were spacious-- not at all the "cookie cutter" type of room at all. Prices were comparable to the chain hotels, but this place had much more charm and was perfect for us.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are quieter, and most of those upstairs have outside seating areas, too. There is...

Cozy and relaxed entry and dining area like you're in someone's home; however, the room was private, calming, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning unit offers a good sound buffer from the other guests. Light sweet and savory breakfast options and tasty coffee. Definitely will stay again when in town for a show in the future.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

We stayed 2 nights and left before the third. Our room (Room 6), which we chose as the least expensive, was too small; the king bed was comfortable but left no room for even a chair. We couldn't get hot water from the sink unless we turned on the hot water in the bathtub. The morning host was non-communicative and did not reply to our "good morning" or any of several other friendly remarks. Though he told us he would have a non-functioning light bulb fixed, he did not. The breakfast was very disappointing; the breakfast room is getting shabby and is decorated in a funeral brown. We did appreciate talking with Bob who was friendly and helpful, but we had already decided to leave early. The location is convenient to the university. Next time in Fayetteville we will stay in one of the national chain motels which are also close to the university, more comfortable, and a better value.

Room Tip: avoid room 6

This little place is wonderful. We spent one night here while in town to see a show at the Walton Arts Center. The location was perfect, within walking distance to many restaurants and the Arts Center. Our room was very clean, and the customer service here was top notch. Bob was very polite, helpful, and friendly. He offered suggestions on where to eat and what to do in town. Breakfast in the morning consisted of many choices of pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, and even boiled eggs. We took our breakfast out to eat on the deck, overlooking Dickson street. It was a beautiful morning and we enjoyed this very much. We had no problems at all here, and we do plan to stay here again in the future.

We had the pleasure to stay here during the Razorback Football opening weekend! The location is perfect! Situated right in the heart of Fayetteville's Dickson Street. Walking distance to the stadium and close to all parts of campus! The rooms and service were exceptional--Bob made sure we were well taken care of! Wonderful breakfast in the mornings too! We already made reservations to come back!!

Part of me doesn't want to write this review because I want this place to stay under the radar. I created an account on tripadvisor just to write this review. I've stayed here multiple times and it never disappoints. The management staff is awesome, the location can't be beat, and the rooms are spectacular. This is one of my favorite places to stay anywhere in the US, and I've traveled to 3 continents. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Love it!

Dickson Street Inn is located (obviously) on Dickson Street--the entertainment center of Fayetteville. The rooms are top notch and the location absolutely cannot be beat. We have stayed here more than a few times and it is great that you can walk home from the bars, concert, or dinner. Ask for a room overlooking Dickson Street--it's beautiful at night.

Service is what one would expect at this price point: unobtrusive, impeccable, and thoughtful. Bob (the assistant manager) has been bending over backwards to work with my husband's schedule--it takes many emails and phone calls in order to make a final booking with my husband's ever-changing schedule. Bob is always polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. Bob's dedication and patience is incredible and he makes this place that much better. We've dealt with a few other employees (don't remember names--sorry!) who were also incredibly willing to meet our needs.

This place can be a bit out of some people's price range, but the ease of being right on Dickson is often worth it---along with the beautiful, lush rooms. Be aware--this is a converted building (an old sorority house I believe) and some rooms run a bit small. We never had an issue with room size and we've stayed in a few different rooms.

Room Tip: Some people complain about the noise from Dickson Street. We've never had an issue with this, bu...
