“music in Slane”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Of course, Slane is known for the rock concerts at Slane Castle, but you aren't likely to happen upon one of those, and if you are in the area at the time, there will be no accommodations this side of Dublin. But if you happen to be in the area on any other Wednesday evening, make sure to catch the music session at Boyle's Pub. The music is a nice variety of classic traditional pieces, ballads, a little Johnny Cash-----ya never know what might happen but it's good quality and a really fun pub. There were few other tourists and the pub keeper stopped by twice to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. And we were----we stayed til the last note and thanked the musicians before we left.
