“Best B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

We have just returned from a wedding in Co Navan. 7 of us stayed at Athlumney Manor for 3 nights and have to say our experience was second to none. Pat was an outstanding host, went out of his way to help, even made us tea upon our arrival. He couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. The shower was powerful and the beds comfortable. The B&B is perfectly situated within walking distance to Navan Town Centre. We had the breakfast which was lovely and Pauline was very welcoming. I can honestly say we have never come across such a friendly B&B and will definately be returning in the future. Pat and Pauline thank you very much for all your hospitality.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the house have balcony doors opening out which are lovely!

Over in Ireland for a wedding and stayed at the B&B for 3 nights. Pat and Pauline make you feel very welcome and willing to help with anything. Pat is a real character, would go back to see him! The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was very poweful! Only had breakfast the once but I really enjoyed it.

I would highly recommend staying here, if I am back in Navan I will be staying there again!!

We stayed here for 1 night after touring the Newgrange area - a very convenient location. It was a clean and nicely furnished B&B. Pauline greeted us, showed us our rooms, and offered great advice on restaurants for dinner. Pat served a tasty and substantial breakfast while entertaining us with conversation. Would definitely recommend this B&B to others,

Athlumney Manor B&B is a great place to stay. We used Navan as a base because the things we wanted to see were spread around it. We found Athlumney Manor B&B as we were driving about looking for somewhere to stay on-the-fly. This place is a little gem and we used it as our base home. We had booked it for one night at first to see what it was like but after that night we stayed for the remaining two (three nights in total before we left Navan). Very friendly people, comfortable accommodation and a good breakfast. They even put a small beer fridge out for us to chill the cans after a long day looking about the place. Thank you. There is only one thing that was not the greatest that I need to say as people using TripAdvisor would wonder: the small shower in the room we had - when I bent down my knees hit the wall which makes it a little hard to reach the shampoo sometimes. But that is nothing and you can't build these things big in a house all the time; this place is worth the stay, it is great.

Four nights at Athlumney Manor 9th-13th July 2013. Pat very welcoming and helpful, at the end of the four days he seemed like an old friend! More information about the area than the local information office. Good advice about where to eat and enjoy trad music as well.
Breakfasts set us up for the day. Access to cold drinks/ice and fridge for cooling wine very nice especially as the weather was so hot. Able to picnic in the garden.
We would certainly stay there again.

we stayed in this small and charming b&b while exploring the boyne valley. Pat could not have been more gracious. We were met with tea, coffee and cookies. Shown our rooms, how to use the doors, and ideas for dinner in Navan. Although we only stayed one night Pat made us feel as if we were staying for longer. He even noticed we forgot to lock our car. His recommendation for dinner was one of our best meals in Ireland. Rooms are small but clean. Ours had a view of a castle. Bathrooms are very tiny but clean and functional. Breakfast was good with lots of food. 10 minute walk from town

My husband and I stayed at Athlumney Manor 13-15 July 2013. We received a very warm welcome from the owners Pat and Pauline which made us feel at home. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable and tea making facilities are provided. Breakfast was just excellent so if you leave hungry its your own fault! We were also given advice on the general area eg: places of interest and restaurants. I'LL BE BACK!
