“A Lovely Evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2011

We had a lovely evening here with family, the food was very good indeed and the ambience of the restaurant was great. The owner was maître d’ and was in control of the busy Saturday evening. We left the restaurant and moved through to the bar to relax and finish the wine and end of the evening.
Would return.
By the way, its actually called Hanged Man's.

“Good Food well presented in a Friendly Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2011

Had a meal in Hanged Mans on Sunday 26th June. Group of 4. It was Derby day in the Curragh. To mark the occasion we were presented with a glass of champagne courtesy of the house. We are not ‘horsey’ people. Nice choice of courses. Had a very enjoyable meal. Served on time. Very comfortable. Food good. Will return.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2010

Decided to try this restaurant having passed it so often now that we are working in Ireland & based in Newbridge. We were very plesed the food & service was very good and the value was excellent, we consider eating out in Ireland a luxury, but on this ocassion we got good value for money and would go back.

“Food wonderful - service somthing to be desired...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2010

Have dined here approx 10-15 times in last few years. was a regular for lunnch til our little ones came along.....

went with our 2 children...in this day and age everywhere should cater to some extent for children...no changing facilites, waiting over an hour to be seated then another 15 mins for food to arrive...all the owner could say was that we were very patient??!! we were just about to leave!!

there were about 6 other parities there with children....not even an offer of a menu or idea as to what they could have....

changed infant on toilet floor....

food was lovely when it arrived but way too late for our or anyones liking....

for a pub of the year and such good reviews in the past we were majorly disappointed... - would have to seriously consider whether to return....

either they should not have taken our booking if so busy ....such a pity, lovely food, children (teenagers with obviously no cathering experience) serving...need some staff who know what they are doing. Bar man was very efficient I have to say!!

need to pull up socks... and we were not the only people there who acknowledgeed this!! spoke to some on leaving - same experience sadly.....great chef....

“Great food, good value as an Early Bird menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2010

Stopped in at The Hanged Man on the way back from Dublin to Limerick. Found by chance as it was the most interesting name in the list the sat-nav produced when we checked for places to eat near our (then) current location.

25euro for starter and main, these could be mixed and matched from the main menu and specials board. Had peppered beef starter and then slow roast belly pork main.

Good sized portions (I'm a hungry man and was very satisfied), very good quality, nice atmosphere and great service. Really couldn't have asked for anything more and was delighted to have found this place by chance.
