“Lovely hotel, mediocre food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

We didn't stay in the hotel but had dinner here one evening last week as we had heard the food was excellent. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations and was mediocre at best. Service was excellent as was the hotel itself, just disappointing, overpriced food that could, and should have been a lot better. I think we'll give the place a miss the next time we're passing.

We ate at the Rosleague Manor restaurant every night of our stay and each day the new menu surprised us! Locally sourced, beautifully prepared, inventive flavours all came together to make some great meals, and what a lovely wine selection too!

“Hidden Little Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

My husband and I were traveling by car along the coast to see the Atlantic Ocean. All of a sudden I see "Hotel and Restaurant" with an arrow pointing to the right .I said this must be on the water lets go have a drink. Indeed it was! what a beautiful and enchanting place. The owner Mark, third generation was very warm and accommodating. It was the day of our 25th wedding anniversary and we decided to be a couple of rogues that day. We then decided to stay for dinner after viewing the menu and the dining room, oh the dining room! I felt like i was dining with the mistress of the house and her guests. The" Lady" in the portrait presides over the gathering of travelers and friends. The service was in the style of traditional Irish hospitality, welcoming. We did not get to view the rooms due to the fact they were full on a Wednesday, I can see why. If we return to Ireland, we will come back here and stay for more than dinner. Thank you Mark for making our anniversary special, Cheers.
