“Great value family meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014

The burgers in here are really nice. they do a family meal of 2 adults burgers with chips and drinks and also two kids meals with drinks. This family meal deal is only €25 and of good quality There is a good variety of kids meals even for the pickiest kids. You would pay the same in the likes of Mc Donalds for a family of Four and you would be starving half an hour later.
They do all types of fries, cheezy fries, cheezy bacon fries, garlic fries etc.

I just love the style of Eddie Rockets, I visit it every time I'm in Ireland! The "Fast"-Food is prepared fresh for each customer. Try the Veggie-Burger!

“'Smalltown America' food comes to Dublin”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

It certainly resembles an idealised, theme park version of a 1950's US diner - well, without the 300lb customers chewing on chilli dogs, and the would-be cool, James Dean manques with crumpled packets of Luckys rolled-up in their T-shirt sleeves - and most of the music is spot on (it was nostalgic to hear Buddy Holly numbers on the table juke box).

But the food is very poor: the sort of dull, oh-hum fare you find in smalltown 'flyover' America where elderly waitresses in brown tunics at least patrol with 'bottomless' coffeepots. Here the waitresses are charming in their retro-uniforms. The fries were oversalted, the hamburgers overcooked and served on a very small plate which results in the fillings spilling onto the table. Also, amazingly, they do not provide vinegar.

Give it a miss unless you are a fugitive from, say, Wausau, Wisconsin and want to relive your feverish youth.

“Perfect place to chill!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

Went here on our first day in Dublin after walking for hours and what a little treasure! Service was slow, granted, but we were in no rush and enjoyed watching the world go by. Its a small diner, but serves everything you need at very reasonable prices. It is NOT gourmet, but has a lovely charm that you wont find in standard burger bars. We liked it so much we stopped by on two further occasions while in Dublin and would happily go again. Worth a trio.
