Remarkably communicative front desk (Nina), on the ball, very friendly and rapid, an impression carried through to all departments, from bar, kitchen to spa.

If I cared about TV, I might have been bothered by the rear-projection unit in the bedroom instead of a flat screen, but I don't. Slept sound.

Cannot say how proud I am when I come away from a good Irish hotel thinking 'world-class hospitality. The definition of.'

We stayed here on Sat 19th and Sun 20th April 2014 with our 10 month old son. We had a fantastic break. The room was easily large enough for our son's cot with a lovely view over the golf course. The staff were great and very helpful and friendly. The food was really excellent, we were on a grab one deal so we had a 5 course meal on both nights. The sirloin steak was delicious. We had some nice chill out time in the pool, walking and at Portmarnock beach which is a short drive away. If I had to pick out cons it would be that the pool area is nothing glamorous but it was clean and did the job perfectly. We'll definitely be back!

we stayed here from 18/04/14 to 20/04/14. when we pulled up outside we were not sure what to expect but dont judge a book by its cover as soon as we opened the doors wow. we were met by a lovely young receptionist who was more than pleasant .the room was lovely large and bed fantastic.but for us apart from the lovely staff was the incredible food not just in bar but the restaurant was second to none in their service and the food was amazing and believe you me we are fussy.the steak was beautiful and in between we were brought canapes and sorbet.Ian the owner had a game of golf with hubby which made his weekend .we would definitely go again

Room Tip: the executive rooms were great and bed is a superking and so so so comfy

We were visiting farms and other attractions in the locality and were staying here for a long weekend with a large group of other people. We could not fault this hotel. Spacious comfortable and quiet bedroom. Excellent food and service which can be difficult to achieve when serving large numbers. As a group we had a lovely large private room for dining and other functions which we were taking part in over the weekend. The food was delicious - the hotel has a very good young chef and he did us proud. All the staff were helpful and friendly and did their utmost to make us feel welcome. They are obviously well trained and highly motivated. There are leisure facilities and an excellent looking golf course but unfortunately we didn't have time to try either!

2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014

We have stayed here before and eat here on a regular basis, had several family functions here and infact had arrange to meet family here for lunch the following day, but when we stayed here on Saturday 29th of March it was very disapointing. Room was ok, nice big bed, Bathroom was a bit shabby, Bath was very small and the hot water was no where near as hot as it should have been. We went into the bar for dinner as we both fancied Fillet steak and this was only on the bar Menu. I had the Bruschetta to start, that was good. The main courses were terrible, both were cold , tasteless and the worst piece of meat I have ever tasted. It was chalky and had a strange taste. We complained and they were both take away, neither of us wanted another steak so my husband asked for the scallops that were on the dinner menu, 3 tiny scallops appeared!!!!! and I just had a sandwich. We ordered a desert for 2 ( a selection of icecreams, meringue, fruit and marshmallows), it came in 2 large wine glasses, the marshmallows were like foam, meringue ( I got 1 piece). All that was good was the 2 irish coffies, that we had to pay for!!!
The next day when we were leaving the receptionist said the manager wanted to speak with us, for what I dont really know as all he said was sorry and that we should have been offered another cut. I asked what the chef had said about it and I was told he didnt know and that noboby had tatsed to the meat to see what we were referring to.
All in all it was a very disapointing evening and we will definatly not be eating here again

Stayed overnight at Roganstown on Thursday 20th March, 2014 and what a fantastic stay. Firstly I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, who explain where everything was and what was available onsite. I was shown up to my room, which was so spacious and spotless, the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in. The meal was the biggest surprise, it was amazing, the presentation was first class, I loved every minute.
I will certainly be back.
