Two night stay with my wife while attending a wedding and it was very enjoyable. On arrival we were greeted at reception and directed to our room on the 1st floor. Our room was excellent, clean, comfortable and plenty of space, good size bathroom and great sized bed. The hotel is located 4 miles outside Swords village so transport is required to visit here. An 18 hole championship golf course is part of the hotel and it is excellent and they also have a leisure center with a pool and gym. The only let down was the steam room which had a very bad odour upon entering but the sauna made up for it. Our wedding meal was 5 course, steak and sea bass and the only let down here was the veg which was cold for many plates. Our night went very well and the wedding was a success. After a good nights rest we headed for breakfast which was very good with plenty on offer but had to wait for OJ. toast, tables could have been cleared better and reset as it was a case of find a clean table to sit at, tea was served in coffee pots which was unpleasant tasting. Our second day comprised of relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities. We had dinner from the bar menu and it is very good with good prices, the restaurant is also available but we settled for the bar menu. Drinks from the bar were had and the hotel was busy for a bank holiday weekend. Overall this is a good hotel and a nice place to stay but some members of staff could do with a course in customer relations and I got the impression that we are here for a short stay and they were not out to impress, pity. WFI in the hotel area overall is poor and so is mobile phone reception which in this day and age is poor service. The answer from reception is that there maybe a lot of users on the network, well upgrade then as this is a poor excuse. Would I stay again - yes, would I recommend - yes, value for money good.
Stay on 1st floor as it is quieter, bar menu is good quality if you want a cheaper alternative, WFI...
