Stayed with a group of friends before going to the Wright Venue nightclub which was close by. Rooms were very dirty, no toilet roll, broken tiles etc. Flipped over the mattress and found what looked to be a large blood stain. We were not expecting much due to the low cost so the state of the place was not so surprising. We were shocked however by the rudeness of the staff. One gentleman in particular was very aggressive and swore at us on several occasions. Would recommend staying elsewhere.

We remember very well theses guests who stayed with us over the Christmas/New Year period. They caused a great amount of disturbance and damage. A group of them were staying in order to attend the Wright Venue Nightclub. They arrived back very late and were asked on many occasions to keep the noise down. They refused to do so, played music very loudly and had brought drink back, which we don't allow. This continued through the night. Even the next morning they refused to turn off music and refused to check out at 11.30. The female staff member on duty told them that she would call the Police if they did not leave. After they left she went to the room and found a great amount of damage had been done. Additional charges have been billed for this. A British couple who were staying 5 days with us expressed their disgust at how these people had spoken to staff members that morning and also alarm that these people had all gotten into cars to drive back to Northern Ireland!

These guests never expressed any disappointment with the room, beds or anything else. No complaint was made about a member of staff swearing at them and in fact the first we knew about these complaints was here on Tripadvisor even though I did have a telephone conversation with one of this group.
We don't normally reply to reviews as we much prefer to deal with guests on a personal basis. If a guest has a problem of any type we much prefer that they would come to us and we can sort it out. We don't claim to be a 4* hotel but we do offer a very good value, budget place to stay right beside Dublin Airport.
Unfortunately as a result of this and one other incident involving people attending the Nightclub at Wrights, we no longer take bookings from people going there on a Friday/Saturday night.

We had trouble booking in Dublin at the end of our 3 week road trip through Ireland & found this hostel through Expedia. It was inexpensive, Staff was friendly, the other geusts were pleasent, many locals visiting family, etc. We loved the town of Sords. This Hostel is within walking distance of the town, lovely shopping, a very nice castle, many wonderful restaurants & a movie theatre.A little hard to find even with a GPS, but easy to orient yourself to once located. Easy to turn around via the roundabouts at both ends of this road, if you miss it.Close to the airport. Beds were clean & cosy, as was the room. Nice open sitting areas. Lots of parking.

Room Tip: We weren't happy with the room they assigned us so we looked at another & were able to take...

The dirtiest place I have ever stayed in. The sheets hadnt been washed as hair still stuck to them. The covers were dirty and smelt greasy as did the pillows. Tiles missing in the shower and absolutely filthy. Tea and coffee was meant to be in our room but no trace,

Room Tip: Just dont go there

We had to sleep near the airport, but, if we really knew how was this place, we probably pay more and sleep somewhere else. Dirty, but no bugs, at least. The bed was terrible but not dirty. The breakfast is a self service of cereals and toasts. Don't expect anything if you decide to go there.
