“Does exactly what it says on tin”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

We needed budget accommodation for four one double one twin this weekend
Rooms tired looking - minimum provided in the room NO Shampoo etc barely adequate towels see below for reason why!!free parking but WIFI NOT FREE 5€
a day crikey sakes even hostels provide it free now
the shower curtain was far too short and no floor towel provided so the guys were wading in shower water in the bathroom plus the water was not hot at 9am and that I read on this site that shampoo wasnt provided I would have had to use the mingy soap provided!
We will not be back in a major hurry

We had stayed in Travelodges before so knew not to expect too much but the shower curtain in our bathroom needed to be replaced ASAP - we made sure to keep it well away from skincontact - and that there was NO WATER(!) available (meaning: no flushing of toilet for 2 people, no washing, no brushing of teeth) in the early morning when we needed to catch our flight is totally unacceptable and we are therefore requesting a 50% refund. I will say though, that the room was much quieter than we had expected given some of the reviews and the location on a busy roundabout.

We arrived at the 'airport' hotel after a 15 min taxi ride a good few quid lighter than when we left the airport, I had informed them of our 4am arrival several weeks in advance but when we arrived, there was only one room left, it didn't have a key so the manager had to let us in and it stunk of smoke. We really got the feeling this was an after thought room. We had booked a late check out but couldn't get out of there soon enough.

I've stayed in many many Travelodges over the years with little complaint and as a seasoned traveller didn't expect too much from them but this really was one of the worst I've stayed in sorry to say. Next time I'll spend a little more to be closer to the airport.

hey, stayed here with my partner after a night in the city. the hotel is basic, abit dated and could do with a good clean.. our room was situated at the front and the noise of the passing traffic is crazy! there is no phone in the room and bathroom floor was dirty.

We came back to the hotel after a night out at approx 1am.. All was quite and we went to bed.. usually with a few drinks id hear nothing but it was like there was a party in our room.. people shouting and banging on doors.. not good at all.. very loud dubs who just couldnt go to bed!! and id say this is a constant weekend problem.

the hotel is situated close to swords village and also the wright venue.. it is good value but dont forget the ear plugs. i wouldnt be really one for given out about cleanliness but this hotel was bad!

They don't advertise themselves as a 5* hotel, and I think the quality of the rooms and service were wonderful for the price of the room. Everything was perfectly clean and the lady at the front desk was really nice to us. They even let us keep our suitcases in their office during the day before we checked in. Really no complaints - definitely nicer than any of the hostels we were at for the rest of the trip!

We (me,husband and father-in-law)stayed here for a 1 night stop over before returning to the UK by ferry (Dún Laoghaire-Holyhead) and from check-in to check-out the stay was great. Finding a hotel accepting dogs was brilliant as we had our HW Vizsla with us.

The room was spotless, clean white sheets and towels and lots of hot water.

We had a good nights rest - no noise - the hotel do have a policy of booking rooms in clusters so those who are due to leave early do not disturb those who are checking out later. Noon checkout is a bonus too.

We had breakfast at the hotel which was cooked individually and apart from the hashbrowns (which were a little too well fryed for me) it was good - the lady in the cafe/bar was lovely.

All in all a very good stay, in my opinion.

Yes, the word excellent really sums up our experience in this travelodge. Accommodation basic but extremely clean.
Our welcome after a long road trip was amazing, especially so from Michael, the Manager, and his lady assistant.
The lodge is well appointed near to bus routes in and out of Dublin and to the airport. After travelling many many miles round southern Ireland in a hired car, 954 miles in 8 days to be exact, the following morning the Manager, in his time off, drove us two in the hired car back to the car depot. From there we caught the shuttle bus that runs to the airport. If there had to be a criticism, there is room for improvement in the Diner restaurant attached to the Travelodge and perhaps for the more mature ladies travelling on their own, a porter on hand to help with their luggage.
