Anna and Patrick Casey are the hosts of this lovely establishment. My family, 5 of us, arrived on this rainy miserable day but one look at the beautiful entrance way, roomy foyer and the sunroom renewed our spirits. The bedrooms weren't particularly huge but the bathrooms were and just lovely. A small shelf beside the sink to put personal items on and where the glasses were kept was quite handy. I must state that in Ireland, they don't always provide glasses for bathrooms. One can get really excited over little things that we take granted in North America.
Breakfast! Sweet fresh grapefruit and watermelon slices, home baked scones, especially the brown ones with sesame seeds (forgot to ask for the recipe!!) and delicious baked bread. The traditional Irish breakfast, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. All good but did I mention the baked scones.
Anna also directed us to a reasonably priced place to dine just off the coast line. A family of 5 needs all the help it can get! She sent us to a place called "Skinny", a small trailer parked on the side of the road with an awning for a couple more picnic tables outside. A family run business with reasonably priced food. We ate there two nights in a row, any longer then we wouldn't be "skinny" anymore.
