“Waves cafe Ballycotton & Cloyne are now closed .....but.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2014

Wish owners would update their tripadvisor or facebook status when they close business. Pals of ours were in Cloyne at the vets and had an hour to spare and decided to go find Waves they had heard so much about it.........they found it had been closed few months before .... but ..... wanted to let others know that a lady has opened a cafe in same building........think its now called Vals Kitchen.....perhaps somebody can correct if I got the name wrong.

“This has moved to village of Cloyne”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

I liked the owners and the coffee and cake and the welcome. I wish them best of luck in their new Waves in nearby Cloyne and sorry to hear their building in Ballycotton is for sale so they had to move. Will support them in Cloyne in their new spot definitely. After long cycle a warm soup and sarnie will hit the spot.

“Hit the Spot.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Called in here after the long version of the Ballycotton cliff walk, great soup, brown cake and good pot of tea.Asked for an extra tea bag ,got it, happy days, thirst quenched. Wine list looked reasonable enough, although we didnt try any. The food being delivered to other tables looked and smelled good too.

“fab little restaurant in lovely village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We ate in Waves after a pal had lunch there recently and raved about the lovely home cooked food.Six of us ladies arrived and they kept the kitchen open late for us as we were a bit late, the food was indeed great, home-made and good big portions. The have very yummy prosecco which arrived down to the table in a silver bucket along with strawberries, such a wow touch. In fact after espressos the owner brought us chocolate covered strawberries too, imagine ! The home-made new-potato chips are supersonic gorgeous,we didn't have dessert but they looked amazing. All in all a total hidden gem of a place.Go there it's such a cool spot and the staff and owners are soooo nice.
