“A must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

We enjoyed it here very much, atmospheric and magical. Seemed very other worldly. You can definitely see why so many films are located here. Certainly ponged!! :-) Great for photo's, we managed to capture some wonderful shots to take out in years to come.
Easy access for anyone.
Cafe, shops and toilets across the road.

“Letting off steam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Great couple of hours spent at the Geyser Park, fascinating to see all the hot springs, pots and bubbling mud. Star of the show is he big Geyser that erupts every 5 to 10 minutes and with varying force, great fun trying to capture the best eruption on film. There is a good visitor centre with an informative interactive multi media experience just over the road, also has a pretty decent cafe but beware of ' exit through the gift shop'!

“Awesome to watch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Watching the geyser was an amazing experience. There are several Hot Springs in the surrounding area. The geyser goes off approximately every seven minutes or so. Each time it goes off, it displays varying heights. A great opportunity to witness mother nature at its most awesome.

“Visit soon as they're charging in 2014”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Whilst driving to the site, I missed it ha ha. It's directly opposite the geyser hotel/café/shop.

It is very entertaining to watch, erupted every 5-6 minutes, and the smell if you were downwind - walking towards it, is awful.

There are only a few bubbles before it erupts so you may miss it once or twice.

“You cant miss this...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

I was like a lot of people wasn;t sur ehow impressive it would be in practice. But is is, it really is. Goes up every ten minutes or so, but the scenary around is spectacular anyway in winter. When it goes up, it goes a few times so you can really get a good feel for it, and it bubbles just before it blows so you get time to take pictures!

One other bonus, there is a refreshment area close by, where you get dropped off, and at the front is the usual junk fast food place but at the back is a superb restaurant and they do a great lunch time menu with local food. We had soup, fish, salads, veg, coffee, desserts and everything was great. Very nice booths too so take your time, you'll want at least 45 minutes for a decent lunch!
